A few points:

Would rather see Cam Wood take over the 2nd, if not 1st rucking duties
Would like to see Ben Reid moved into the backline, and rusling to be in the forward pocket
Dont want to see Dids in the forward pocket, HFF should be the closest he ever gets to goal

I think thats a pretty well rounded team with plenty of options through the midfield. This is something we definately need - to make up for a distinct lack of quality compared to alot of other teams. If you were to go a bit more conservative Presti would probably make the 22. All of the emergencies were unlucky not to make the team and could easily replace Corrie, Shaz, or Moneybags. What strikes me most about the team is the huge hole that we have in midfield, especially considering that we didn't go after Cousins. It really illustrates our need to go after allround or inside mids in the draft. We should look at recruiting atleast three and rookie another.

Very hard to do a team at this stage since there is a few players that missed large amounts/all of last year (Rusling, Rocca, Dick, Reid). Also guessing where guys like Toovey, Stanley, Cook, Corrie, Thoolen, Presti fit into the mix is tough. Add our draft picks into that and who knows.

You're right - that's not going to happen. You have Fraser twice! You might want to consider replacing one of them with Monkhorst

I'd be happy with this I think this is close to how we will most likely line-up in reality. Although OBree would have to be a starter I think and probably Fraser too. OBree is a massively underrated player IMO. I didn't have Presti because I didn't want to rely on the fact he'd be available but if he is it'd be a big bonus for us. From my team in retrospect i'd probably have Lockyer instead of Corrie as well.

If Presti is unfit, I'd bring in Ben Reid as he would have been killing them at CHB in the VFL and will eventually force Presti out.

Swan and O'Bree are interchangeable. I'd just make sure I have one of them in the middle at all times.

I'd like Wood to start off with Fraser coming on later on. I think he will be more damaging that way.

If he is fit presti will play. When he finally did crack it for a game he looked as solid as he ever was. Looked like he had not lost his pace or his ability to shut down a player.

I must be the only one who feels we dont need a key defender. We draft one they will take 2 to 3 years to be ready(thats if they cut it) and in that time I am pretty confident 1 of Reid, Anthony, Goldsack or Dawes will develop into a fine key back. Not to mention Obrien who keeps improving and while he cannot play on the monsters can play on the majority of forwards both tall and small. I think in a couple of years we will have one of if not the best defence in the comp. I think people have panicked a bit this year because it leaked a few goals but I thing we forget that aside from wakes if was a very very young backline.
