Why is that when I think of Radar and Symes, I think of devastating defeats.
I'm happy to admit this is my own problem if necessary.

Reilly's played 135 games for 75 wins and 60 losses.
Symes' overall record is 67 games for 36 wins & 31 losses. With Adelaide it's 48 games for 28 wins & 19 losses.
Symes did have a losing record at Port - 20 games for 8 wins & 12 losses - but I suspect that's not what you were looking for.
Both players have winning records of over 55% with the AFC. The only conclusion I can draw is that this one is indeed your problem.
His losing record at Port was duly noted.I shall seek the appropriate counselling then.
I think it's because Symes played in the 07 GF.

What's the consensus on Porplyiza?
He's been listed in every team I've seen (including mine) but I think his 2010 form will see him face a lot of pressure to retain his spot early in the season.
We know his best is excellent but I hope we see enough of it to keep him in the side.
It took Porps all year to get over his horrible start to last season. He would have been as frustrated as all hell. Would expect him to be back to his best next season. Pressure will be on for spots all year, but you would expect him to be easily in the best 22 when fully fit.
. Should he be able to do this, he should provide us with the fourth A-grade midfielder that we probably require to seriously push for finals(with Thompson, Vince and Douglas making up the other 3).
Cant quite get used to counting Dougie as an A grade midfielder.
12 losses needed an asterix though
*includes 119.

Reilly is our best stopper.
Who do you give the shut down role to if you take him out. Remember he played ripping footy late last year as well.
Not saying he deserves a spot over Martin either, just getting the debate going.
Sadly not as much as I would have liked in the last 12 months or so.
I like Callinan a lot though, hes the kind of footballer Id take my son to watch (if not for the fact I have 3 daughters).
Its a good question, my gut feeling is that he will be a good player at AFL level. Id love to see him play in round 1, it just depends how he travels in the pre season games. My fear is that he will be behind Porps and maybe Jaensch in the pecking order and this may limit his opportunities. Hes unspectacular, but a very clever footballer.
If he gets an opportunity I reckon he will surprise a few people, hes the type of bloke and the type of footballer that could make the transition.
Wood Duck
I just sense that at the age of 27 the club has recruited Ian for a specific need / purpose and he may get his opprtunity as early as round 1 and if he does he wont let go.......
Why? Reilly has a specific role in the team now, and has performed very well at it so far. He is most definetley in our starting 18 next year.Yes please.
I know Jaensch and Callinan appear to be competing for the same spot up forward but anyone else think we could squeeze both of them in? It would be very handy to have them, along with our other small-medium mids, rotated through the forward line. Have a look at Collingwood: they have Didak, Beams, Sidebottom, Davis (albeit he was useless in the GF), Thomas and Blair rotating through there. Makes it very hard to match up on.
With the new interchange rules, midfielders resting up forward will become even more common. Callinan and Jaensch could at least play burst roles in the middle. Callinan is a gun SANFL mid and should be at least servicable in the AFL, and an even fitter Jaensch should be able to push up the ground on occassion in 2011. I think a forward line with Douglas, Porps, Knights, Sloane, Jaensch and Callinan (hopefully with Milera eventually overtaking his spot in a couple of years) at the feet of our KPPs should provide both good defensive pressure and unpredictability.
