no outs yet as it's a Sunday game... Elvis and Roger back is interesting, who will miss out?

Would like to see Hayden have a week in the WAFL but doubt they would have selected him if they were going to drop him.

Likely Outs - Walters, Peake, Drum/Pearce

??

Do not see the point of rushing Hayden back. Much rahter see him take the rest of the year off and come back next year 100%.

If McPharlin is coming back in as CHB then you would have to image that Drum will be on the way out. Personally (Cant believe I am saying this) I would rather McPharlin spend a week in the magoos and Drum given another game to try and save himself.

Walters, love his football smarts. Always good to see him coming into the side. I see it as a very positive move.

Ins- Hayden, Walters and McPharlin

Outs-Peake, Drum and Van Berlo (Rather see him stay in though)

Usually the omissions come from the seven named as interchange players. So I would expect Walters, Hayden and Drum to miss. Team selection has been illogical for the whole year and is unlikely to improve even with Rick's departure.

I'm also against McPharlin getting back in straight away. In fact, he should be dropped to the Sharks for the rest of the season and be told to do some soul searching over the summer. The biggest disappointment of the season, by far. And that "played out of position" crap, I don't buy it. If you're played out of position, you may not be as effective player for the team, but in McPharlin's case, his mistakes were absolute basic stuff like kicking and marking.

This is how I would matchup against Melb:

FF: Headland...Mayne...Hayden
FB: Martin.......Frawley.Cheney

HF: Walters....Pavlich..Soloman
HB: Bartram.....Rivers...Petterd

C: Suban.......Haze.......Hill
C: McDonald..Dunn......Morton

HB: Ibbo......McParlin.....Duffy
HF: Moloney..Miller.......Jones

FB: Pearce.....Taz......Broughton
FF: Jetta......Bate.....Jurrah

Ruck: Sandi...Dodd...Mundy
Ruck: Johnson..Davey..Silvia

Int: DeBoer...Bradley...Schammer...Van Berlo
Int From: Jamar...McNamara...Valentini...McLean...McKenzie...Spencer...Robo

Open up the forward line for Pavlich.

Drop Grover, Drum and Peake - no future for two of them - Groves unlucky.

I think we should not play Pav in the middle any more this year. Compare to the Eagles who appear to start Masten Ebert and NicNat on the ball we should be giving all our youngsters extended time in there for these meaningless games. We have Hase, De Boer is a good size and Sandi can clear a path. Get Ibbo, Broughton, Duff, Suban, Walters, VB in there for the sake of experience.

In fact when you look at the whole of the team there is still plenty of size and experience all around the ground. We should smash Melbourne.

Yeah predictably poor. Pearce has done nothing wrong and has earnt his spot more than both McPharlin and Drum. Should never have been dropped and why we arn't giving the young guys who are our future a go when the season is over is beyond me. Both Pearce and Walters should be in before the two I mentioned and Peake.

Wouldn't worry too much, your team still looks stronger than Melbourne's. I must admit though, I don't know a lot about Freo but when I saw that change I was a bit shocked. I thought the bench should've been:

I/C:Clancee Pearce, Roger Hayden, Kepler Bradley, Byron Schammer
