I hope Drum realises the importance of the game, finally gets his act together, plays a blinder and gets his career rolling. It would quiet a few of our KP-worries if he did.

Tarrant - McPharlin - Drum - Pavlich as a spine, would look a lot better in that case.

Good luck Drummy. Got a bit of a soft spot for Drum, would be very disappointing to see his talent go to waste. Go well!

and
?

BP: Jay van Berlo
CHB: Kepler Bradley
FP: Nic Suban
Ruck Rover: Steven Dodd

After a couple of weeks as an unlikely emergency, he's finally made the team as an unlikely inclusion when AFAICT he's done little to deserve the spot except stay healthy. Good luck, Drummy. Take your chance and at the very least get some trade value into you - btw does anybody know when his last game was?

Round 1 versus the Dogs
His 2nd last AFL game was Round 22 last year against the Pies when he played a great game in defence. Stand corrected but reckon he had 20 odd possessions and 10 marks that night. Hope he does well. The question though is if he does play well why hasnt he got a game earlier? I know people will say his form with Perth has been poor but the guy has some talent. It is not like he is talentless. he must take some of the blame for not getting a game but has the club got the best out of him?

I would love to see Walters atay in team. Pearce may be the other one in danger. Its a shame we are possibly trying to pump up some guys trade value as Peake is lucky to be in 18. Would rather see a real young bloke in and for Peakie to go back to EF and find some real from and work on his god damn skills. Walters skills are 10 times better than his and the likes of Walters, Pearce are probably the future of the club and not Peake

With Ballantyne out I'd play Son-Son. Showers forecast so I doubt that Clarke will play.

Peake should be playing for the Sharks.

Thornton and Mundy are shit in the wet so I'd "rest" one of those two if there's a bit of rain about Sunday but it won't happen.

Disappointed that Josh Carr's not playing.

Drum and Clarke have been named for their respective WAFL clubs. Pity really. No doubt many of us would like to see what Drum has to offer during the remainder of the season.

Umm.. Drum is named at CHF, therefore will play.

Jars probably named his team on the assumption that Drum hadn't earned his spot at Freo. I bet he is as shocked as anyone. I really hope that Drum dominates though, either boost his trade value or actually provide an option.

As an aside, being named on the field means nothing for Sunday games. Anyone in that 25 may or may not play. Stupid system, but that's how it is.

Bondy talks about what they want to see from Drum in the next couple of weeks in today's West so he'll definately play against Port.

Hope he does well.

Same.

The question though is if he does play well why hasnt he got a game earlier?

He's been injured a lot. At one point earlier in the season when he would've been a 99% certainty to be included due to our injuries he hadn't played for about 6 weeks (injured for 4 weeks, Perth had a bye then the WAFL had the week off).

I'm not trying to make excuses for him, but I don't think he's been as bad this year as many make out. Did he deserve a call up this week? Probably not, but neither have half our players this year. Thornton, Headland, Murphy, Campbell, Mayne etc they all got games before there form warranted it at some point this year.

Is there an issue with Pratt that we don't know about?

Thought he'd be better value than Thornton, and the crap about being a BP and a BP only is rubbish - they were happy enough to play JVB forward in his debut and he hasn'd played forward for years!
