Teams & Comments from Team Thursday Round 7 on the AFC website.

B: Graham Johncock, Ben Rutten, Phil Davis
HB: Andrew McLeod, Nathan Bock, Simon Goodwin
C: Michael Doughty, Brent Reilly, Nathan van Berlo
HF: Jason Porplyzia, Scott Stevens, Bernie Vince
F: Jared Petrenko, Kurt Tippett, Richard Douglas
1R: Ivan Maric, Scott Thompson, Tyson Edwards

I/C from: Jonathon Griffin, Myke Cooke, Taylor Walker, Brett Burton, Tony Armstrong, Chris Schmidt, Matthew Jaensch.

In to 25: Armstrong, Griffin, Walker.

Walker named on the bench, along with Burton. Looks like "no change" to me. Would rather have Walker in the side, but it's nice to have a settled team for a change.

Vince will apparently train tomorrow and they're expecting him to get up in time for Sunday. Ditto Burton, who is apparently "being monitored" but should be OK.

Dangermouse is apparently likely to return next week, back after 3 weeks instead of 4 as originally predicted.

Tried asking them if Neil Craig & co had seen Carl's "Transcripts", but the question got vetted and never appeared on the chat session - let alone getting answered.

Meh, don’t have high expectations, you won’t get disappointed. No change was the expected call this week.

Burton and Doughty were never coming out, only way they won’t play is via injury.

If Vader's analysis is right (and I think it is), I wonder which was the last 0-6 side that named an unchanged lineup? Or even the first side that dropped 6 straight to do so?

I would believe you would be hard pressed to find one, even Hawthorn have come out earlier in the week and said 'heads will roll' after five losses in a row, guess this club has nobody to answer to, the supporters have been labelled pathetic by the CEO and its 'play on' as far as the AFC is concerned.

Isn’t it interesting?

Port Adelaide won the game and they make 3 changes this week, we lost the game going to a club record 0 and 6 and make no changes. c'est la vie

And to anyone saying what changes – well Burton for Walker is an obvious one. But the imperial one won’t make such an obvious change unless forced to by injury. Or even Walker for Doughty and move Scott Stevens back into defence because he has versatility.

Anyone would think we won the showdown.

yeah looks like a no change which in a way is great.

althought I like the comedic style of the AFC putting Doughty on the wing.

Yeah that's our wacky Neil Craig playing his zany games again!

I actually have a feeling Burton wont play this week and Walker will come in.

If I recall correctly since returning from a knee recon Birdman has missed a game or two due to knee soreness.

Or maybe the club will take a soft approach and site knee soreness rather thansaying he has been dropped

I don't mind him further up the ground. Will make it harder for him to kick into the defensive fifty.

More ammo for the "Monday meeting" edition when the ploy doesn't work?

How the hell does Doughty get named on the ground after his displays this year.

Who is fit and tearing up the SANFL ready to come in for him? Some of you seem to forget that we're down to selecting third and fourth choice smalls already without taking out Doughty. Suggesting Stevens could play his role is a bit absurd, why don't we play Young at centre and Griffin at half back flank while we're at it.

Given that Burton is on the extended bench rather than the field this week, he might come out for Walker, though Walker hasn't exactly set the world on fire back at Norwood.

Has Myke Cook add an 'e' to his surname?

Such a simple name, such confused parents...

To me that looks like Walker in, Burton out. Maybe I'm hoping for too much.

I would debate that Young deserves another shot across HB

I accept that some may not agree however I'm not convinced that his game against Sydney was as poor as some may have judged him.

I personally believe that Young was exposed against Sydney not because of his readiness for AFL footy but more because our zone and turnovers on that particular day was that bad it totally exposed our back 6 and unfortunately for Young he found himself trying to defend the undefendable turnovers

He may have been, but that still doesn't mean he can come in for Doughty, Young isn't compatible with his role. Young would be coming in for either Davis or Stevens, and playing or mixing up between those roles.

I only mentioned Young because I wanted to point out that suggesting Stevens can play as a small, run with defender against a speedy forward flanker type is about as accurate as having Griffin rebounding out of our defence, or a future full back like Young playing as a midfielder.

Petrenko to Doughty's defensive post, Jaensch into Petrenko's role (or have Cook slide in, Jaensch into the middle), McKernan in to allow Tippett to stay forward.

Here comes a huge win for the Crows. With no ruckman and no Foley, it will be an easy game for you guys.

Petrenko has been rubbish, I'd be dropping him before Doughty if we had the men to spare. In fact, when Dangerfield comes back I'd be keeping Jaensch at the expense of Petrenko he's been that poor all season, provided Jaensch backs up with another solid showing this week.

McKernan has no consistent SANFL form and has looked lost in every AFL game he's played, and isn't in the 25 anyway. Much more inclined to bring in Walker for Burton and play him as a tandem with Scott Stevens forward, and persist with Tippett in the ruck and resting forward until Sellar regains full fitness.
