Both venues have their pro's and con's, some features are exclusive to itself. I like the fact that the average attendance of 30 - 50 thousand feels like a full house at the Telstra Dome thus adding to the atmosphere. I also like the closed roof. But there's also nothing like walking to the mighty MCG coliseum from your car park and seeing those giant light towers. I'm sure that your favorite stadium has that little something special that makes your footy experience that much more better. Please exclude the Grand Final from the MCG because we all know there's nothing like 100,000 people at a footy match, i'm talking your average football outing.

Amen Brother.

I catch a tram down St.kilda road everyday to work and love the sight of the MCG as you cross the bridge over the Yarra.

However, I love the Dome as well probably b/c im there 10-15 times a year.

MCG all the way. It's a theater, TD is a stadium. TD has that consumerists company produced feel to it, it's all disgusting and shiny. Food is expensive and everything has a plastic feel to it, not sure what it is but it just does.

MCG by comparison has a real footy feel to it, I remember as a kid walking through the park, wearing my jumper and scarfe, sitting in the great southern stand, eating a pie and calling BALLLLLLLLLLL! It's just a superior ground. I know this is about footy but TD cricket is like being in a enclosed morgue, no atmosphere at all. MCG cricket atmosphere is awesome.

MCG. **** you Essendon for signing with the devil long-term!

Heck, at least we get to play the big games there.

MCG just blows the TD out of the water - Sure the TD looks all nice but it's surrounded by a concrete jungle and definately looks 'plastic'.

There's nothing like getting off at Parliament station, cutting through Fitzroy gardens and then being greeted by this colliseum of a stadium - The home of football.

Ah i first remember when i went to the MCG first time, traveled from perth, only had been to subiaco and the waca, i thought subiaco was a nice stadium, was huge, beutiful atmosphere, beat melbourne, it was just a great day. everytime i go to subiaco now it seems like a large pile of **** compared to the mcg

also, subiaco>Telstra dome, on some of the nosebleed sections you cant see the whole damn field, also has some of the worst food ive eaten before

there are seats on level 4 of the G that you cant see either screen

I prefer Telstra Dome.

If the games crap, you can go up to the Cougar Bar, sink beers, perve on the hot bar chicks and watch the game on the big screen.

But... you're a Melbourne supporter. Melbourne at the G = good. Melbourne at TD = beaten by Carlton. Wouldn't you want your team to win?

I HATE it when Richmond plays at plastic dome, we always seem to play 10 times worse than usual, which doing the maths is not a good sight.
