Player Sponsorship Testing the waters: who'd be keen?

I think we left our run too late last year. Currently talking to other boards' mods about how they organise it.

Serious question, why do they need sponsoring?

Why buy a membership or support the club in any other way?

Just out of curiosity, by sponsoring a player is that how you get the name underneath your username?

EG. If we sponsor Jetta, we all get the 'Jetta 11'?

As I've said before, I love the idea of it, but surely all of these things are covered by sponsors?

I would do it just to have the badge on my username tbh, and to be able to say I contributed, but in all honesty, do they need it?

This is something that has always intrigued me. What if I was a s rich as this fellow Pratt was, and decided to sponsor some guy like young Jack Riewoldt (Richmond's) if he came to Bomberland. So I say OK! Buddy! you join our team, and you will live in my fully furnished terrace house in St Vincents in Albert Park, and have a loan of my Ferrari, and charge all your meals to my account at Ricardos. And, of course if you need any clothes or anything else, just charge it to my account at Myers.

Would that have any effect on the salary cap?
