Here is my story. It was my birthday last week and the Essendon birthday card arrived as usual. Except for one thing: it was blank! So I decided to ring the club and complain, not because I was really looking forward to the card, but because I thought it was clearly an oversight on their part.

Anyway, I open the mail today and guess what? I get a new card, different design, and on the inside I have an apology not from the club, along with a signed card. Not just the usual mass printed card, but with actual signatures of Andrew Welsh, Kyle Reimers, Heath Hocking and Scott Gumbleton. Also in the pack was the team photo with the signatures on the back (pre-printed this time)

So I'd just like to thank Essendon for going out of their way to not only make amends for their mistake, but to also make my birthday even more special. The only extra thing they could have done was won on Friday, but I can forgive them for that

I might actually do this this year. Even though I'm probably about 20 years to old for birthday cards, it'd be less embarassing than opening up a fake birthday card.

Ive always got one for being a member. Ive never been registered to the Essendon website and NOT been a club member, so I'm not sure.
