We're up to the first round of the FA Cup, the time when League One and League Two enter the fray. It may not have the excitement of the third round but it's a huge opportunity for so many of the non-league teams to advance that extra couple of rounds and possibly land that dream tie at Old Trafford or Anfield.

Some interesting inclusions on the list include FC United of Manchester which will no doubt play in front of sea of green and gold scarves Belfast. ;) AFC Wimbledon are playing Ebbsfleet United which is the battle of the perhaps soon to be football league club of the people against a club that is literally owned by the fans. FC Sheffield, the oldest football team in the world, have a spot in the first round and I was also interested to see the Metropolitan Police team represented.

All non-league teams have been highlighted.

From my perspective Saints have drawn Shrewsbury at home which will be tough as they are a real chance of gaining promotion to League One at the end of the season.

Colchester United v Bradford City
Corby Town v Luton Town
Harrow Borough v Chesterfield
Notts County v Gateshead
Stevenage v Milton Keynes Dons
Southport v Sheffield Wednesday
Rotherham United v York City
Havant & Waterlooville v Droylsden
Bury v Exeter City
Cheltenham Town v Morecambe

Tamworth or Grimsby v Crewe Alexandra
Darlington v Bristol Rovers
Guiseley v Crawley Town

Would definately love to see FCUM play against Manure and see who the fans support.

Hopefully Gateshead somehow can knock off Notts.

Carlisle should get up.

That might be a view held by 5% of the fanbase if you're lucky.

I bet the 95% whopper element wouldn't even know who FCUM were.

Not to mention the sea of green and gold scarves you see at every game at Old Trafford means these revolutionaries haven't given up their precious season tickets and hurt the Glazers where it would really hurt!

Somebody has to take over from Moomba. :(

Anyway, FA Cup this weekend.

Be sure to remember that Round 1 is the new Round 3. Southampton are certainties to lift the trophy this season because Saints only draw in Round 26 and lose in Round 27.

YES! YES! YES! YES! YEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!

FC win it with the last kick of the game! Went 0-2 up with a screamer, conceded two goals from naïve marking at set pieces, were hanging on... then on 3:59 of four minutes Margy Time™ Norton robs the goalkeeper and scores!

Incredible scenes at Spotland. Football, bloody hell.

Rochdale will be claiming too much Fergie time.

It would be fantastic to get the crowd numbers up BB iif you could.

It was on Setanta this morning, meant to tape it.

It's a great result against a team who you have to say is pretty decent opposition.

Congrats BB. :thumbsu:

Bournemouth score within 55 seconds of kick off.

Hopefully Gateshead can pull off a miracle against Notts.

Carlisle already a goal to the good.

EDIT: Bournemouth make it two before the 4th minute is concluded. Including the time they spent celebrating the first goal.

Bournemouth scored 3 times in the first seven minutes against Tranmere. Carlisle lead Tipton 4-0 which is hardly a surprise considering they are six divisions apart.

I can safely say our 2-0 win was nothing like the comfortable result that it appears on paper.

Shrewsbury played well all match and had deservedly made it to second half injury time with the scores at 0-0. Enter David Connolly. Comes on in the 88th minute, scores the winner in the 91st minute and then lays off the assist for an Adam Lallana special.

Just scanning through the results there are a few upsets that jump out. Tamworth beat Crewe, Dover defeated Gillingham and Darlington over Bristol Rovers.
