Sarah McLeod > Courtney Love

The Superjesus was a big band in the late 90s, Sumo was a huge album.

They even got on Recovery which was the 90s version of Countdown.

Saw them live at the old Look Out in Scarborough back in the day and my ears were ringing for days, they were loud but they were worth it.

It was still all rock back in the 90s.

Recovery was a morning show and they still played rock.

She had a killer voice. Gravity is brilliant.

Hole sounded a lot like Nirvana and there was speculation that Kurt had written those songs and Courtney killed him to steal them for her own band.

I don't buy that, Nirvana fans were upset that Kurt had died and Courtney was an easy target but Hole wrote their own songs with help from other people.

Their comeback single was written by Billy Corgan

Courtney didn't murder Billy because he handed over the rights to Malibu under the threat of being murdered like Kurt.

Oh god I've said too much...

Celebrity Skin was a great album. Melissa Auf der Maur's solo albums are really good too.

One of my mate's younger brother dated her for a while.

Some pearlers in this thread.

Emu Export Beer LMAO

The 90's sure gave us some stunners and was stacked with teen shows and heart throbs.

She was cute. GROTTO Thoughts mate on the great Love Triangle from the 1990's? :)

Melrose place haha. 902010, Saved By the Bell. Dawsons Creek, Party of Five. endless. Who could forget Baywatch and Pamela Anderson. She ruled the first half-decade of the 90's.

Proper uni student drinkers would be buying Tun Bitter or going to Aldi. You can get 24 cans of Rivet Lager (4.6%) for $26.99. It's probably bland AF and gives you a horrible headache the next day but when you are 18 isn't that the idea? I have tried the 4.8% Sainte Etienne lager in bottles and as far as generic Euro lagers go it's fine. Tell someone who isn't a beer snob it's $50 from Dan Murphys and they wouldn't know any different.
My mate used to live next door to an Aldi so we became quite the connoisseurs of Storm, Saint Etienne, Jimmy Briggs'...

There was an infamous Big Day Out at Bassendean Oval in the 90s where Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love got booed or pelted with sh*t and walked off.
I can't remember who, but I know for a fact a well known Eagles player started that. He threw a beer can at Marilyn Manson. Probably because he looked like a ****!

If we're talking good songs from the 90s, and good 90s songs (there's a difference), well how come there's been no Mazzy Star?

watch

She was pretty cute too.

Those Bridge School charity concerts were the most 90s thing

Also, no mention of Odeley! ?

Jack-Ass is the best song on that record.

Who is the 90's chick?
Movies probably Uma Thurman, Kirsten Dunst, Chalize Theron, Sandra Bullock, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts,

Woman... Sharon Stone.. Basic Instinct....
Marisa Tomei,
Sherrilyn Fenn - Might have made Two Moon Junction in late 80's but probably did not see it until early 90's damn....
Diary of a Hitman, Of Mice and Men... she was hot woman for red hot blooded male back then... ha ha
Not really into mainstream movies so out of sight for most of 90's

LMAO I've lost count of the people over the years have either claimed they either threw it or knew who did, probably half the city aged under 30 at the time reckon they were there at the front of the crowd and took credit.

I love calling myself a 90s kid on account of being alive for about 2 weeks in 1999.

I saw Beck at a rock festival in Portugal in 2000, the night we were there was a classic 90s line up of Elastica, Placebo, Beck and Bush.

Beck was the highlight, expected him to do a more laid back acoustic type set but he had a huge band and really rocked out.

Maybe it was the dope we were smoking but I swear this song went for about 20 minutes.

It was funny watching the Portuguese people there belt out all the lyrics word for word but could barely speak any English when you tried to talk to them.

Fair enough for Marilyn but Courtney deserved more respect.

Hole produced one of the great albums of the 90s.

Live Through This.

Saw Hole at Metro's in Freo and Courtney fairly busted her hole when some-one threw
an empty shot-gun shell on the stage.
