Society/Culture The Abortion Thread

Oh, riiiiight. It’s a health decision. You think abortions aren’t happening in NSW.

I just remembered you’re the poster who thought the pregnant woman in the US who was shot in the stomach should have gone to jail.

Hmm.
The FEMALE prosecutor is the one who convinced the grand jury to indict her in the first place.

Also can’t say I’ve ever had a go at a woman for her choices during pregnancy

Apparently most women get caught out in the first month or so, because they continue drinking as they are unaware they’re oregnant

A good friend got drunk out our Xmas party then found out the next week she was 6 weeks along

Guess i should hate her now
Bet she stopped the moment she found out?

So?

Are you suggesting all women are pro choice?

I get that your stance is anti abortion or pro life or yay Jesus but it seems very shallow.

Is there a reason you can’t articulate an actual point?

Not gonna waste my time when you keep misrepresenting what I say. (Or you have very poor comprehension skills)
Where was the misrepresentation?

You’ve yet to actually represent anything. Every time you’re asked something you ignore it

Or say random things like “so what I wanted her charged. So did a female prosecutor”

As if that some how makes your opinion more valid

Alright here’s an easy one for you since I can see actual discussion is a bit tough on you

If a woman speeds and loses control of her car, and has a miscarriage as a result of the accident, should she be charged with murder?

Bahahaha. Now you know how I felt for the last 2 pages. Have your turn.
Yes. We get it.

I’d suggest that when you have the same issue with everyone that perhaps you’re the issue

I look forward to your next post whinging about how one time, a woman once lied about a man. And that we need drastic action to save us all

Bahahaha. Now you know how I felt for the last 2 pages. Have your turn.
I had two flatmates have abortions when I lived with them, one was Irish Catholic too, both were early term but it was torturous. I played devil's advocate at times to suggest they keep it but neither did and it was the right decision. My lived experience is that abortion should not be a crime. Both of these woman knew that in their situation it would have been irresponsible and utterly impracticable to have a kid.

This question is not sarcastic or rhetorical - does anyone know what happens to an aborted fetus? I mean does it get disposed of like a piece of garbage or do they extract tissue for some other purpose?
It gets synthesised into a paste that Peter Thiel injects to add 10 days to his life expectancy.

So you would be ok with a women being a pack a day smoker from conception all the way through to birth?

Difference is an abortion is a medical procedure that requires other trained parties to do it and since it is something that ends the life of another being the government has no choice but to be involved.

Society should be encouraging women to practice safe sex and if they do get pregnant then to follow through with it (after x weeks). What sort of society thinks it is reasonable for a 6 month pregnant woman to suddenly want an abortion just because a baby might be too much of a hassle for them?

I suppose the difference is that exposing a potential life to proven health risks and then continuing the pregnancy till birth fully intending for that life to continue despite any lasting health effects is willful negligence on the mothers' part. Terminating the foetus at an early enough stage puts it beyond further harm forever.

I hear you on the '6 months pregnant' bit. As medical tech improves and 'artificial wombs' become part of your average maternity ward the whole abortion issue is going to get a very thorough revisit. The 'viable outside the womb' argument will cease to be a factor as all life will become potentially viable from early after conception.

Of course we're not there yet.

“ but eh just wernt 2 pretect d babiez”

Why do idiots with shallow opinions feel the need to share them publicly? If you can’t discuss your opinion you should probably rethink having it...or you know rethink posting it everywhere you can

So to sum up the thread:
We have a guy who fakes care for babies as a reason afainst
Jesus said so as a reason against
Women will fake being r*ped to get abortions as a reason against

Is tony Abbott a big footy user?

don't want a kid.. have an abortion.. make sure that you are sure.. because you can't regret it once it is done..
However, if you don't want the child.. give it to someone else who does want one.. they are plenty and they are grateful..

Abortion is for those who have circumstances where they are unfathomable and uncomfortable... rape, financial reasons.. personal
reasons and who knows what?

we or those who contemplate abortion will have a deep and defining reason as to why they want to choose things.. they don't do it
without thought..

Abortions should be banned because it's the new sexual fetish, according to professor PJ Watson.

https://summit.news/2019/09/11/new-...tting-pregnant-and-having-multiple-abortions/

“I know this fetish. My girlfriend and me have the same fetish. My girlfriend enjoys her pregnancies and she enjoys the abortion. Her preferred date to abort is between 20 and 24 weeks of gestation. I enjoy making her pregnant. And I enjoy the time of her pregnancy. She has no menstrual period and she is sexually very active,” he writes.

The scary thing is there are a number of people that will just take this as fact.

They're not exactly rocket scientists lurking over in that part of the www.

Or use a condom.

No need to end a life because you can't be arsed with contraception.

So what happens if the contraception fails?

Condoms are 98% effective.

Well down by UK Government: https://news.sky.com/story/coronavi...bortion-rules-during-covid-19-crisis-11965811

On the other hand, disgraceful but not entirely unexpected in the US. Grubby, cynical politicking.
