The AFL is on the edge of not coming back

Oh so this IS about suspensions. Just not Sicily's. You are making me do a lot of mental gymnastics to keep up with your contention.

If you don want to address the content, which was about how the AFL is following the path the nrl did, that's up to you.

Suspensions are definitely part of the issue, but not just the Sicily suspension.
Your arguments are on par with the AFLs. It's all good, it's all good.

The fights in the crowd each week suggest fans have had enough too

You literally named costs and suspensions as the issues.

Actually, no, I've been sitting on posting it for some time.

OP has been having a massive melt about the Sicily decision all night, including talking about Hawthorn should forfeit their next game in protest. He's posted literally like 20 times about Sicily in the last 90 minutes.

But sure. We're supposed to believe this thread is 'separate'.

Careful. He'll accuse you of being me next.

Some will see it as hysteria, it isn't.
It is.
The ones on social media are the ones most likely to be spending the money on the product. They're the ones the league can't afford to lose, particularly if they get out of the sports betting market
If you get what you want and they dial these suspensions back and let everyone continue to tackle blokes heads into the ground, will these people you speak of including yourself be happy to fund the multimillion dollar concussion lawsuits?

Would you be happy to chip in say $10,000 or $20,000 towards those, so that they can keep the game just the way you like it?

Cost? WA fans pay way more for less (especially this year lol) so if they can manage to cough up cash so can everyone else. heck me, when I heard about what interstate memberships cost outside of WA, I was like er... 'they think it's expensive?... seriously?'. Then here's you saying people are going to stop following the game because of it, get off it seriously.

Rules? Every time I see a dangerous tackle it's immediately obvious it will be a suspension - incredibly clear, the only one I disagreed with was Dan Butler and he got let off anyway.

I pay my money to watch a 360 degree contact sport not netball. Players know the risks when they decide to take up the sport. I certainly did when I played and if i got hurt from landing on my head from a legal tackle I wouldn't sook it up to get compensation like these past players are doing. There's no evidence to suggest it's anything else other than general repeat impact hits to the head over time due to the physical nature of the game not because I hit my head in a tackle. But sure side with the AFL on this because they have the best interests of the game at heart.

None of your “back in my day” stuff is going to change the fact that if the AFL aren’t seen to be taking significant steps to reduce the likelihood of concussion, they will be sued for tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars.

So if their choice is between potentially losing a few hundred dollars a year from the likes of you, or lose tens or hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation, I have a funny feeling I know which one of those two options they’ll choose.

You’ll be missed. Not.

Im in my 30s you idiot. Back in my day? LOL yeah righto. It's moronic fans like you as to why the game is ending up the way it is. Happy to just play along to which way the wind blows. Get this through your head, the fans pay the salaries of the bigwigs pal. You piss the fans off you end up with a brand that nobody will want to sponsor or support. There's plenty of supporters out there not just Hawthorn supporters either that are sick of where it's heading. Could bring up a wave of social media pages if you like. If you think my view is in the minority your clueless. And it's got nothing to do with people turning up in record numbers to matches which I know the simpletons such as yourself will use in any counter argument to justify that the game isn't broken. They turn up to watch their team win.
