Or stitched on to the back like soccer teams (96 for Liverpool, A.F.C. for Arsenal). I think that size would be alrightBBFFC, SMFC etc. would look fine if moved to the collar (e.g. my example the previous page).

So the AFL come out with this story, saying it was a great success & they will look at making it permanentIt says that before the round started, last Monday or whenever they released the pics of all the jumpers, public approval was at 60%, then after the first game it dropped to 40%, obviously after everyone saw how shit they actually looked, and how it served no purpose as you can't even read them unless it's a close up, or slow motion. Then they say that from last Monday to Yesterday the approval rating is at 48%.......yet they still think it was a great success & no doubt they will go with it next year. My question is, if you put out some sort of poll, get less than 50% positive reaction, how can that be concieved as the public liking it???? If it was 70 or 80% fair enough, but it just shows that the AFL have already made their minds up and this will happen, I for 1 hate the idea and am spewin that it will go ahead

Because people always complain about change with this sort of thing.
If you asked people in 2005 how they felt about clash guernseys, you'd have gotten a similar approval rating, maybe worse. Yet here they are and they've dramatically improved the way the game is presented. If they've made a change to something traditional that will make them money and gotten 50% support, ofcourse it's going ahead.
It only dropped to 40% after Thursdays games because Richmond and Brisbane have arguably the two worst guernsey designs to do this with, and Brisbane added a stroke that looked pretty bad.
You'll find that the vast majority don't care. Those that do, it's 50/50. That is more than enough for the AFL to go ahead with a moneymaking exercise.
He had his jumpers ripped. It happens.
He went through his spare two.they didn't make a spare?...blood rule ect..?
You're convinced it'll be in?
After going back to normal this week, I prefer guernseys with names. Bring on next season.
''More PRO''Also makes the league more pro![]()
You really need to let go of the readability thing. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything.
''More PRO''
It does when the names make the numbers smaller, the main way to identify players at the game.
The AFL/clubs would make just as much cash if they sold jumpers with numbers printed on.
Yes it will make the league look more pro.
All "PRO" leagues in the world have them, they do it because the system works![]()
Yep names make a professional league, definitely not players being paid full time wages. They look very wierd/plain/blank without names, they should be in permanently next season.

Stop saying ''more pro''.lol meant to say "look" more pro.
To gain new fans to our game for all reasons in the thread, this needs to be done.
You really need to let go of the readability thing. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything. I found watching on TV I could regularly see the names at stoppages and close up shots, but even if I couldn't read a single name at any point, it still wouldn't matter.
