Well given all the current boards failures it wouldn't be that hard to top them but the Carlton Now ticket is really going to focus most on is engaging more with the members, better transparency etc. Instead of having power hungry out of touch businessman who know nothing about football and are as charismatic as a wet paper bag your going to get Elliott style people who have actually will show some love and passion for this club. The members will get a say on board appointments once again. The autocratic constitutional amendments designed to keep the same old dinosaurs in power like their some sort of royal family will be gone. We will once again chase the best players and coaches instead of duds like Bolton and Teague. We will create a winning environment once again where the players will feel proud to wear the Carlton jumper and give 200% on the field EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF EVERY GAME. Yes its about winning games of footy but what differentiates Carlton Now from the current board is that they will put in the right plans actually achieve it as well as make Carlton an AFL powerhouse that us members will be proud to support again. Past legends will be treated with respect and you might even see a surprise change of course surrounding the Princes Park redevelopment. From what I've heard this pretty much sums up Carlton Now. If this isn't appealing to vote for then I dont know what is
So again, all you can do is bag the board members and sprout absolute nonsensical rubbish. "Charisma" "Dinosaurs"

Sayers is no dinosaur and has plenty of charisma.

'the right plans'. LOL. What utter nonsense.

You want corrupt people on the board who are bankrupts??

geez nothing in this inspires any confidence whatsoever

I thought the 200% referred to effort on the field - not the salary cap??

Confused😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well the salary cap should never have been bought in to start with you know. Was nothing more than a scheme devised by the AFL to destroy powerhouse Victorian clubs. You don't have them in the EPL yet the AFL thought the need to bring it in just to equalise the competition and have more control over each club, anyway thats a discussion for another night. There wont be any salary cap breaches though, theres no way the club could afford to pay the fine anyway....

All I can say is yikes. Carlton Now are going to destabalize the club further, not fix it.

Change of course in a redevelopment that is half finished and takes up about half of the ground?

Does Carlton now, know that 4 board members were replaced today?

thats probably the least likely out of all the things to happen. Theres a couple of people on the ticket I've heard that are pushing for PP to host AFL games again but that isn't once of Vince's key priorities

I can put my bottom dollar on it that if Carlton Now gets elected Ross Lyon will be coaching us in 2022 given the few discussions he's had have been with several people on the ticket. The only reason he isn't pushing harder for the job atm is because the board spill hasn't happened yet. It was through meeting with several Carlton Now people that reignited his flame for coaching. The only reason he made up the Leigh Matthews story was so the key details of the spill wouldn't be released until Teague was sacked. If the current board remains in power though Ross will most likely turn the job down (or they'll reject him anyway given 2 members of the current board aren't keen on him).

Ross Lyon actually met with John Elliott about a month ago mate, once all this dies down I'm sure he'll reveal it to the media whether he becomes coach or not

Ross Lyon, a guy who really wants to coach again, will turn down the opportunity, to coach the club he supported as a kid, because there isnnt a board spill?

You can’t make this crap up.

I have a feeling you will be banned by time I wake up tomorrow.

I happened to hear directly from the current care taker of Collingwood's wife today that Ross has already been decided upon but they are just waiting for the teague firestorm to settle down until it is announced. But oh no! He wont take the job if some random bloke doesnt spill the board :drunk: :drunk:

Completely lost me there.

Surprised he ever had you.
There's "Okay, I don't know exactly where I am but there's a landmark kind of in that direction and if/when I get there I'll know where I am" lost; then, there's "Why am I sleeping on a park bench? Wait; it's not a park bench, it's at a train station."

"Hang on, where the **** is Stony Point?"

Surprised he ever had you.

Well no, I visited the Carlton Now page and was completely unimpressed. There is a whole lot of people wanting Teague to be reinstated, like it's Trump and the sacking was a fake election.

Meanwhile, those who want on the board are only interested in the board going, while preaching that we have to stop sacking paid employees like CEOs. Then they complain about the board's involvement in the artificial membership numbers which Liddle has his fingerprints all over.

This is just sack all the board, put a bunch of well intentioned nuff nuffs in charge with no vision except pat the staff members on the back, tell them they are doing great and the players should try really hard on the field now. Like, I'm sure nobody at the club has thought of that.

This is the Richmond challenge ticket in 2016, but with less credibility.

You don't start by pointing out how shit everything is, how you will make it better because you have passion. That's not a plan.

... Are you that stupid?

The competition the afl operates most like is the NFL. With a draft and free agency etc. They have salary caps...

If you're an example of this new carlton movement, it'll be worse than Trumps America. I wish I could use worse insults than this forum allows. What utter shite.

CARLTON NOW!!! Lets go, perfectly summed up by Vince. Everything I been saying for years about the current board is finally starting to become mainstream and now Carlton members are finally seeing just how dysfunctional this club has been for the past decade now. Time we the members took back our footy club and started having people who actually have passion for the club ran it. The strong successful Carlton that we all grew up loving is finally going to be coming back guys and I really hope yall vote for the Carlton Now ticket. Rather than being a basketcase and laughing stock like we are atm, we will finally start to be feared by the rest. As I said the other week on here, how many more things does this current board have to fu** up before you realise that THEY are the root of all our problems.

Shut up Vince.
