As a draftee, I saw a very high floor, Robert Harvey/Cotchin, and his ceiling targeting someone like a Whitfiield or ultimately Craig Bradley

I have been surprised at how he has improved from that 1st year high bar. More experience a given, my interest will be what he does as he puts on more size/strength, bloody exciting

Most, of the media play the percentages when making predictions. I doubt any of them had 4 sides making finals this year compared to last year and or Demons making finals. Easier to follow the masses, so if one gets it wrong, so will most of them.

Most people don’t remember predictions they made five minutes ago, let alone in advance of an AFL season.
Take Sam’s words for what they are - an assumption based on recent outcomes. There’s no Nostradamus in the media or on this site - although a level of information and education some have access to might help determine a sturdier position.
If anything Carlton supporters - myself included - have been making predictions of success based on assumptions of improvement based on talent measures alone which sadly have failed to materialise.
In AFL you need more than that - if we can bring it together - and I’m still hopeful we will - then we can happily push back at Sam and the rest of the naysayers.

He, along with Niall would be the best connected in relation to our footy club & the sad reality is that for the majority of many of our lives we've been a basket case, on and off-field, it'd be unusual if someone was spouting anything overly positive on a consistent basis.

I am never really sure why we need a clash Guernsey as it seems like our jumper isnt that close to any other team and if it is they can change.

If we have to have one mainly white and a touch of blue is OK i guess.

Seems like in recent years the clash guernsey has moved more and more towards being all white. Personally I prefer the version from 10 or so years ago: blue panels on the sides, shoulders and waist, with just enough white on the front and back to satisfy the clash requirements. We're the Blues. Our clash guernsey should be as blue as it can be within the rules.

I also wouldn't be opposed to wearing the Indigenous design each year as that year's clash guernsey.

Last night I dreamt that I met Liam Stocker. He was a nice young fella, and I was surprised he was almost as big as me.

Last night I dreamt I was at Carlton training (participating?) and I saw Liam Jones amongst the action.

I asked if if he was vaccinated, which he refused to answer. I told him he must be, otherwise he wouldn't have been let in. He simply smiled and kept on training.

For some reason I don't remember feeling almost as tall as him...

Would love to get Dale Thomas’ thoughts on malthouse and his time at Carlton v Collingwood. He is a Malthouse devotee and probably has some reason to have some angst towards Carlton given all that transpired during his time with us. Would be great if he could come out with an unfiltered and unbiased assessment of it all.
