I ******* LOVE that straight guys always use the word 'rooster' to describe an attractive male.
"He's a good lookin' rooster!" Best.
yeah-heh.........straight..........
I think Charlie is sexy af.
back of the rooster admiration queue.......

Sorry for bringing things down a bit. It's just that brand of blokiness that genuinely sets my teeth on edge.

There's the blokiness but I thought you were talking about something somewhat more important; We can't seem capable of just saying what we really want to say for fear of being ostracised or not collecting 'emotional likes'

Not a topic for here but it's somewhat sad that we've become mentally neutered and as a consequence, become products residing in echo chambers.
If a guy is good looking it's OK to say "That guy is good looking" or other like-statements, without attaching riders and cliches, to somehow not offend someone........isn't it?

I can dislike both.

I just didn't feel like taking what was a fairly light-hearted piss take of the things young blokes say into an indepth and serious discussion on how social realities can use linguistic tricks and pervert meaning before the match this afternoon.

I'd be perfectly happy to pursue it later though.

:)

In light of our recent debacle. This is a refreshing view. This is Southgates nod to Roy Hodgson who got smashed by everyone when England lost to Iceland at the Euros 2016.

“They didn’t have big-match experience two years ago and, under pressure, they suffered,” said Southgate. “Roy took a lot of criticism, but he was brave enough to put them in and deserves credit for that. Without that experience, we wouldn’t be here. Young players will suffer at times and have days when they can’t cope or adjust. But the experiences two years ago put a lot of those lads in better stead. They’re two years further on and have benefited from that as well. There’s a humility about them, a recognition of where they were 18 months ago and the work that was needed to get them where they are now.

When you have 4 key defenders, two of who are 28+ years old, and the oppositions key forward is running around unmarked or competing against Marc Murphy then we're not just talking about issues with a young team.

4 key defenders = no run from the backline

The irony is we have one key forward and no one at his feet

Long bombs to Charlie !!

Plan B ...... ??

Simple fact is ALL our senior players, bar Simmo and Kruze are trash. Totally not AFL stanard. So we either need to wait till the kids can deal, or bring in 5-10 new senior players. Or maybe both. Or maybe were just fkd.
