I look forward to their fans now claiming that not only do they have the best young talent on the field, but the best staff off it.

I'm particularly sorry to see Gavin go as I just had the impression his input/output was quite valued.

I recall standing next to him at a VFL game this year and liked the way he studied what was going on throughout the game.
He didn't lose focus for a second and moved his eye across the whole ground throughout the game.

I know that may come across a little bit "big deal" but you can tell those that are completely focused and that's not always the case with all assistants.

It's official ..............

I can confirm he has been appointed to a new coaching role at North Melbourne. Coach in charge of close finishes....best of luck Browny!! :)

Please be right Tony.

Has done well coaching at VFL level and would be happy to see him join MM in the box.

If West does come on board as a coach, I wonder if it increases the chances of seeing someone like Ben Brown in Navy Blue in 2014. Certainly can't hurt his chances.

you should go after Nathan Bassett who has done a brilliant job turning Norwood into powerhouse team in the SANFL. When he took over Norwood for season 2010 their were a inconsistent middle rank team and after losing his first 4 games in charge his team has produced the following results

2010 24 14-10 2nd- runners-up
2011 23 15-8 3rd- preliminary final
2012 22 20-2 1st- premiers
2013 22 19-3 1st-premiers

also add in the fact every year he has lost 5 to 7 quality players and has been able to find replacements to fit in and play a role in the Structure he wants.

Id love west as midfield coach plus itd mean we could move on brad green...
I would be surprised if we moved on Green. He is currently part of the development team (Graham, Cachia, Bell, Buckley etc would have been under his charge this year). If West came on board, he would potentially be taking over some of what Wiley does with the midfielders.

Everyone needs to stop carrying on about Brad Green, he was a champion player and looks a very intellegent and knowledgeable person. I personaly think he will be a very good assistant for our footy club. I dont kno what everyones vendetta is against him. He hasnt done anything to suggest he wont be good
