I'm unaware of Moloney what position does he play? how old is he etc
Treacle inside midfielder with massive biceps and tattoos. Good clearance player, questions over work ethic this year. 28

Brent Moloney... are we still a chance to land him? Recent reports suggest he's heading interstate with Brisbane most likely.

Tbh I don't think we ever were. If we land Tippet I expect the only other deals we involve ourselves in will be to send off white and possibly other fringe players for draft picks. Can't see us buying into free agency at all this year.

Swans do a couple little things every year though. It all depends on Tippett and what we give for him, but apart from him i'd say at most it will be getting one or two depth players or replacing whoever we gave off for Tippett (i.e. if we gave off Grundy we'd be in the hunt for a cheap KPD), but all in all we will be pretty quiet apart from the Tippett deal

Assuming Grundy stays would we need another tall defender?

LRT can go back.
Hopefully in an emergency Brown, Spangher, Walsh can cover depending on the situation.

Would get him incredibly cheap but there's a reason he was delisted... I'd be more interested in Hooker or Pears as long as we don't have to pay overs

Bower would be free though thats pretty cheap.

Anyone interested in Cruize Gartlett he is tiny I know but is a really good clearance player and lays a fair few tackles. I thought he played pretty well when I watched north a couple times.

Would be a good depth option for us but isn't he wanting to go home to WA?

Mentioned in the paper today that Port are interested in trading for Heath. Hmmm. Considering how long he's been on the list without breaking into the senior team (2 games) it would be one he'd look at. Disappointing though looks like a Mattner clone back in the ressies to me.

Which paper? And do you have a link?

Word keeps coming out that Port want to stock up on defenders so that wouldn't be a surprise and it would be a very smart addition IMO for them. Having said that, I really hope he stays with us. Has a lot of ability I think.

Tom Young is the sort of player we should be trading for. Not only a Sydney boy but he is actually a key(ish) defender unlike Brown and Lockyer

Not understanding your dislike for Brown and Lockyer swansfan51

It would be disappointing to lose Heath who looks like a Mattner replacement, but he would get more games at Port than at Sydney in the next 2 years at least.

No surprise, I noticed Hinkley at the Swans seconds games when we played at Yeronga last season. Heath played well on each occasion.

I don't dislike any Swans players, but I don't think those 2 will ever be key defenders - particularly Lockyer, who does have talent but cannot play that position.

I think under the new rules he doesn't have to be traded for, he can walk under the category 'delisted free agent' unless he agrees a new contract with Sydney.
The period for those moves starts 1 November & ends 13 Nov.

That I agree with but I don't think the Swans ever claimed that either would become key defenders.
