Tom Mitchell is looking to be traded from Hawthorn.

I for one think we made the right call by not prioritising him over others.

I'm not prepared to say the game has moved past the Mitchell types completely, but it does feel like they have become less essential than they were 5-10 years ago. And if their ball-winning isn't essential, but they're not offering any dynamism either, then is the need to have them on the list enough to make up for the cost of having them on the list?

Adelaide reached this inflection point with Matt Crouch, and I think Hawthorn have reached it with Mitchell.

They said the same last year though
Difference being that Hawks were trying to give him the nudge last year when he was contracted and it was late in the game. This time it has apparently come from Mitchell himself and his camp. Near identical to the Hewett situation. Team unsuccessfully pitches a trade, so waits a year for the player to pitch it himself.

I agree 100% with your point!

Once again we were ahead of the curve and knew what we were doing...

However, I completely disagree with your use of 'inflection'... :roflv1::roflv1::roflv1:

Tony Armstrong plays in a flag for Barwon Heads against raging fav Torquay , good on him.

Xavier Richards only kicked 1 for Old Xavs in their 1st semi final loss , i wonder whether they will have Hanners next year , his old school .

Feels like a lifetime ago that Xavier Richard was our third tall forward in our last GF.
