In MOD's case, Werribee had a bye. The mail is that he will get another chance as his form has been very good.
Gilchrist will be back to Amateur footy with his school side in Caulfield Grammer within a couple of years. At the moment he is playing VFL 2's and not going well.

Plenty of Swans in action in the VFL yesterday
Barry Hall kicked 4 and Eddie Barlow 2 (with 3rd best) in Willy seniors while Patty Vesz kicked 5 and was BOG in Willy reserves!
MOD played for Werribee.
Gilly playerd for Box Hill reserves

Anyone besides me think about Ricky Mott when Warnock missed that simple kick?
Not at all as Mott was about 35 out, i was right behind it and it swung late for a behind.

I think you're being kind to big Ricky there bedders, I reckon it was closer to 25 out. I'm still shaking my head 9 years later.
Rocket is still yet to see the actual kick I believe.
Got pissed with him the next day at the Bellvue in Paddington the next day, he was not happy. It was also the same day that Plugger made his comeback for Port Melbourne against the Bombers at Windy Hill. A cetain poster on here was giving me updates from there which i was passing on to Eade and he couldn't have given a flying f@@@. He knew the end was near at the Swans, the same as it nearly is at the Bulldogs.

He's apparently added some physicality to his game in the VFL. Hopefully. Maybe.
Irregardless, it seems we are already debuting one tall defender this week, so Barlow might have to wait a week. We have another rookie it looks like we are elevating and I can see him getting a game first (Luke Dahlhaus). Seeing as one of our younger guys on the senior list is on the LTI, we can elevate two (one for the injury and one for the allowed rookie upgrade after round 11).
So Ed may have to wait for his shot.

Is Ed really playing as a key defender? I think that's the only spot (besides ruck) that we didn't try him in. Roos obviously didn't think outside the square there!

I actually haven't seen any VFL games, being a croweater. But this is what I gather from those who have watched.
With Mulligan, a genuine tall defender, debuting this week (apparently) I doubt we'll elevate and play Barlow right away. Cost 25k each to elevate a rookie, so we might not even elevate him in the end. Depending on if the club has the money to do that. I'd imagine if we only elevate one, then the smaller and quicker midfielder in Dahlhaus will get the nod.
