Lol. Round 1 has nothing to do with round 2, mate. Surely you grasp that.
Yes, they're magically a different side after quarantine.

Their scraps?
Don’t you also have access to zoned players without paying with draft points? We only have a 2021 end of first round pick left from that concessions package. I expect the AFL will take that off us if we keep this up.

There's that too but it's not really a tangible commodity. It's really only useful if we have high end talent coming through our academy which really comes down to luck more than anything else. To date, we've only had one first round pick come through our academy in our 10 year history (2016 Pick 10 - Jack Bowes). Having said that, if we continue to win like this then I'm sure they'll take that off us as well and we'll go back to the way things were last year.Don’t you also have access to zoned players without paying with draft points?
Strip them of the other PP's, and make them pay back in points the one they already traded from this year. There was zero justification to give them concessions last year.
I said on the gameday thread but this Suns build feels much more real than the previous Suns build. Originally they went for skillful players who all were slight of frame and got bullied off the ball. This time they have drafted/traded in some real grunt.

so only once they were the worst team in the comp.2015 - 16th
2016 - 15th
2017 - 17th
2018 - 17th
2019 - 18th
I think this was the reason, and it is a rather compelling reason.
And only once did they receive the number one draft pick over that 2015-19 period.so only once they were the worst team in the comp.
Don't like to be mean but Wright isnt much chop.I'd imagine Fiorini, Brodie, Schoenfeld and Wright are getting pinched this off season.
Exactly. Its not some backs to the wall triumph. Its incompetence being rewardes to the point where its harder for them to fail than succeed. Surprised more people haven't been saying this, perhaps they will when they become really dominant.well about f*n time with the handouts they've been given
Can't ignore the evidence under our nosesAnd only once did they receive the number one draft pick over that 2015-19 period.
Gee whiz. People have very short memories on here. Half the footy public were convinced the Suns should relocate to Tasmania three weeks ago as it was 'never going to work on the Gold Coast'. In fact, you were pretty active in the Prediction - Gold Coast Suns will fold by end of 2022 season thread a month or two ago.

Ugh I’ve never stated the Suns should or would fold if you actually read what I sayAnd only once did they receive the number one draft pick over that 2015-19 period.

Yes I’ve never said they shouldn’t be in the competition. Happy to include everyone, Tasmania, NT, Canberra as well as GC and GWS.
Why? Because they are a new team in a rugby state and have no fansUgh I’ve never stated the Suns should or would fold if you actually read what I say
I stated last year the Suns are no different to any other club, they finish last, they get the number one pick. They didn’t need all the other concessions. Why did they get treated differently to say Carlton who had 2 wooden spoons in that same time period?
That’s a ridiculous argument. Why didn’t GWS get a priority pick last year? Why? Because they are a new team in a rugby state and have no fans
