TBH if I was Zac I'd try harder to prove everyone wrong.

By getting depressed he is validating peoples opinions.

I know a lot of people with depression. I have it myself occasionally.

The best way to deal with it is to stop obsessing about things. If Bigfooty upsets him he should try to stop thinking about it. It's one of those things where you go over a problem in your head a thousand times and make it worse.

He needs to be less self obsessed if he gets depression from this stuff.
