With any luck there will be some big rumours around the airwaves here in Perth with wild allegations Hack was caught helping himself to an extra biscuit from 6PR at morning tea and was frog marched out the front and told to never return. Thus his reputation was ruined for ever (such as it was!!!!)

From this rumour he will end up being a master criminal by the time all the other rubbish juros have quoted each other back and forth as "award winning journalist" tend to do when they are making stuff up. And hopefully he is sentenced to commentate synchronised swimming for the term of his natural life.

East Fremantle's Tim Bockman.

East Fremantle's Tim Bockman.

Fremantle are keeping close tabs on East Fremantle’s Tim Bockman as a potential mid-season draft candidate.
The high-flying forward attracted interest from several AFL clubs ahead of last month’s national and rookie drafts but was eventually overlooked.
Minor premiers Port Adelaide and Carlton also made enquiries about the 21-year-old, who cemented his spot in the Sharks’ senior side in 2020.
Bockman is rated by Champion Data as an A-grade general forward, averaging 13 possessions and four marks in his 15 league appearances to go with eight goals.
The Dockers don’t have any list spots available at this stage after bringing in West Perth product Heath Chapman, Perth’s Nathan O’Driscoll and Next Generation Academy graduates Brandon Walker and Joel Western via the national draft and Victorian Josh Treacy as a rookie.
But it is understood the club has put plenty of work into monitoring Bockman’s progress as he looms as a leading candidate should they put someone on the inactive list due to injury.
The mid-season draft is scheduled for June 2 after being put on hold last season due to coronavirus.
Several West Aussies were taken in the inaugural mid-season draft in 2019, including South Fremantle product Marlion Pickett who went on to win a premiership in his AFL debut for Richmond.
Claremont forward and former West Coast father-son selection Alec Waterman will head east next month to start training with Essendon in the hope of earning a spot on their list.
Waterman, the son of dual Eagles premiership player Chris, will complete a six-week training block at Tullamarine ahead of the Pre-Season Supplementary Period (SSP) deadline of March 9.
Essendon currently has two available spots on their list after Irishman Ross McQuillan announced his AFL retirement to return home earlier this month.
The club could also free up another spot by putting livewire forward and knee victim Irving Mosquito on the inactive list.

The best contested mark in last years draft (Jackson Callow) is still available I believe.

So if there are no list spots available how would this happen?

Similar to this

"Fremantle have drafted exciting tall forward Dillon O’Reilly from East Fremantle with pick no.11 in Monday’s NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

The AFL rules are that a rookie can play straight away, so Dillon comes in as a Category A rookie replacing Matt Taberner, who is now on the inactive list,” Micallef said."

That went well.

Never seen him play, but is averaging 13 possessions and four marks, along with eight goals in 15 games, really enough for Champion Data to consider him an A-grade general forward??

"The drill also saw veteran Stephen Hill show promising signs. After Taberner took an intercept mark, Hill helped score a point by sprinting to out-mark two opponents.

His classy kicking also helped set up his team to score later in the drill with Longmuir praising his former teammate’s efforts both times."

This is from the training report for Friday 22/01 on the club website.

i) Don't want to seem negative, but how is helping score a point worthy of a highlight.

ii) I know Hill and Longmuir both played for Fremantle and West Perth, but former teammates - I don't think so.

It wasn't goals and points it was a training exercise where you get a point for completing the task/play successfully.

I often listen to SportFM on the way to work and the minute Hagdorn started the whole tone of the show changed. He's such an snide, negative campaigner and just comes across as a generally unpleasant person. It stands out like dog's balls compared to the previous vibe Landsmeer and Clark had cultivated and doesn't fit with what I used to enjoy about the show.

I'll probably go back to listening to podcasts more often again now. I don't need that sort of negativity polluting my mornings.

I reckon you hit the nail in the head with what really is the core of the dislike. His whole demeanour is of snide arrogance while being extremely combative and horrible to listen to. Regardless of him exaggerating or flat out making some stuff up, his horrible personality makes him unlistenable.

Landsmeer is a rabid wc fan in person, but he is good in the media

Point 2 you are correct. I’ve read that from Freo a number of times. SHill was drafted in 2008 - first season 2009. My research some time ago indicated that after JLo retired at the end of 2007 he was down at West Perth 2008/9 in a development coaching role. So I guess you say he worked at the same workplace as JLo (WPFC) in 2008. In 2010 JLo did a year with Fremantle under Harvey where he worked again with SHill at the same workplace. But never did he play alongside SHill as a team mate. Drives me nuts when I read Freo say former team mates Walters and SHill. Mundy was a former team mate not SHill and not Walters.

Would never have guessed that he would be one of two sought out signatures with Cerra, even two years ago. Gonna get a nice contract end of 2021, impressive. Not bad for a Rookie from the regional Victoria leagues.

The fact Hill is sprinting inside 50, is a great sign. Would love for him to just have a roaming like role. His kicking is too good off half back. He can step up so much more around half forward
