Yeah I think the political and cultural climate these days is primed for that sort of thing...
Oh totally. No ethical issues at all. Like all great ideas you have to wonder “ why wasn’t this thought of earlier?”🤔
*Mumbles into collar mic* Yeah we've got a problem in sector 11G. We have subversionists, repeat..

I have thought about contacting the club re a breeding program being established between the best players from our men’s/women’s teams. Allowing for personal preferences and attractiveness perhaps a lab based program would be best? What could go wrong? 😎Probably should be in the List Management thread.

Given the personal preferences of a lot of the girls there's probably a few who'll be needing a donor at some point too. It's win/win!

... for those who haven't seen it.

Great article thanks for sharing.

“Swiss army Fyfe”

That assumes the WAFC will do something decent with it. If they are as shonky as they sound, I wouldn't want to be handing over my hard earned to that mob.

I guess that is a seperate problem. But surley something is better than just letting that money just grow and grow. I mean WCE are a not-for-profit so I don't see the advantage of them sitting on a pile of money. Especially since they can't even spend most of it.

Yeah but not having sufficient backup money has left us vulnerable. You could argue the amount necessary, but I think it is prudent to have rainy day funds (we had some , but not enough). It seems the AFL itself, used the best case scenario accounting system, which I consider dumb.

Other than the terminology being incorrect (it’s orientation, not preference - just like straight people’s ‘preference’ isn’t the opposite sex, it’s how they’re hard-wired so it’s orientation), BUT other than that... not a bad idea. 👍🏽

Must have played 100+ games, probs better an unmarried bloke as wives may not be sold on the idea, but I think a Fyfe/Ebony Antonio genetic combo would work quite nicely as an example. ☺️

Unless you are bi. Does it then become a preference??? Just asking

Still an orientation. Within that orientation you can have a stronger preference for one or the other, but if you are attracted to both, your hard-wired orientation is to be attracted to both sexes.

Very off-topic. Moving on.

I knew a girl who used to date men and then was violently r*ped and from then on only went out with women.
Alison Annan from the hockeyroos was, from her own words, straight, but fell for a Dutch female hockey player and has been with her ever since. She said she chose a person not a gender and that she still looked at men and if it wasn't for the particular Dutch girl, she would definitely be with a man. I'm not convinced about a gay straight dichotomy. I think it is on a spectrum and if you are not strictly at one end or the other, preference can come into it.
I think if you are self accepting of your sexuality, it is easier to accept some preference rather than hiding behind determinism. I'm no expert, but some things I have seen have made me think it is more nuanced than some suggest.

Don’t disagree for the main, but there has to be a degree of bisexuality for both those women that they didn’t realise was there until the specific incidents (one very horrific). I didn’t know I was a lesbian until I was almost 40. Pretty dumb on my part 😖. Some people prefer no labels, some do. I prefer my label as it gives me my place in the world and let’s people know who I am. Some people don’t like labels, but it’s still orientation, despite the preference someone who is bisexual has. I have a friend who has been with her (female) partner for 20 years. She says if she wasn’t with her she’d be with a man but she fell in love with her partner. She might overall prefer men, but she’s still bisexual in her orientation. Interesting discussion, but not for this thread. 🙂

The Perth Lynx and Fever Netballers should be special guests at Doigs, Family days and other events. No need for programs, let nature take it's course, but bump it in the right direction...

It would be the right thing to do. We could also support them, by letting our players go to there functions :)

That's the right thing to do...

*for those who don't know, the WCE are actually a 'Major Partner" Sponsor of the Fever Netball Team. Again, the dirty birds are getting in ahead of us...
