I'm a baseball fan and one of the Yankees pitchers slapped (not punched) his partner and he was banned for the whole of last years post season and the whole season this year,+ he has to show the club that he has learned from his mistake before he can play again for the club. That is because the MLB commission has a no tolerance policy on domestic violence. There is no way another club should be allowed to pick up Elijah for a period of time. Certainly not for the coming season.
As it should be. Even the NRL has a policy on violence towards women. The AFL just stick their fingers in the ears, screw their eyes shut and shout ‘lalalalala’ hoping no one notices. And after time, the people forget. It’s like straight out of a ****ing dystopian narrative.

Not too sure how to phrase this comment, but here goes.

When the AFL does their induction for newly selected recruits, they need to go strongly on the message of being positive and always take precautions when “socialising” with any female partners.

I’m seeing that a lot of tension arises when the girls fall pregnant and the boys are still immature ( girls the same), and they don’t have the skills to process it logically. Fights start and escalate to domestic violence.

As the saying goes, “ If it ain’t on, it ain’t going in “.

”... and who was dragged by the AFL system from WA to the other side of the nation.”
Dragged?

Thanks for the articles by the way Dale147.
Oh noes! A kid from WA nominates for the draft and has a one in nine chance of being dragged to the other side of the nation and surprise! With those odds, he gets dragged to the other side of the nation. 🙄🙄

Here’s a free quick word of life coaching. Don’t bash your girlfriend.

You hear that Butts? It’s not ok to bash your girlfriend, even if you’ve been dragged to the other side of the nation because you’re gifted enough to be given the opportunity of living your dream.

Get your head out your Butts, Steve.

If he ‘ bashed’ his GF he would of got 5yrs at least wouldn’t he ?

He did a bad thing but it was a pretty light punishment and the court at least gets to hear the evidence that we don’t

I could list the names of 1000’s of horrible wife beating men on here and none of us would have a clue who they are or what they did but half the country knows about Taylor for what the court obviously deemed a relatively minor offence

Seems a bit unfair too me

If what he did was sufficiently socially unacceptable for Sydney to sack him, no other club should be able to pick him up for a period of time. The Afl should have a standard for that, it shouldn't be up to individual clubs to decide.

That standard shouldn’t be about Sydney sacking or not sacking him, it should be about the offence. The AFL should have a standard that clubs agree to.

What? Talk about selling the farm for one player. And to think we didn't hire this guy as our senior coach. Sheesh. One needs a brilliant footy brain to come up with that stupid idea.
Alright Sumich, any suggestions how to get a top five pick? None - thought so.

No one's trading two mid first rounders for a top five pick.

If anyone had any doubts about our coaching selection, read that article.

He must have some redeeming positive coaching traits because he’s been in the industry for so long, but far out what he says there is just dumb.

Sumich bags us for not taking local talent, 5 minutes after bagging out the local talent! **** off Sumich!

Fremantle midfielder Darcy Tucker has joined younger teammates in training for the club’s first hit-out for second-to-fourth year players at Cockburn today.
Tucker had his 2020 season ended by a serous hamstring injury, but moved freely in running and kicking drills away from the main group.

Ethan Hughes, Nathan Wilson and Connor Blakely were other mature-age players to join the youngsters for a two-hour session that involved several skill drills followed by some running.

Notable absentees from the session included Lachie Schultz and Brett Bewley, who are expected to re-join the group later in the week.
Stefan Giro has returned from South Australia but is completing his quarantine while Luke Valente and Michael Frederick are yet to return to WA from South Australia.

It is understood that Bailey Banfield will be free to re-join the group later in the week provided he is re-rookie listed by the club.
But it now seems unlikely that Hugh Dixon will train with the Dockers over summer.
Dixon has signed to play with East Fremantle in the WAFL after three seasons produced one AFL game.

It is not clear whether the club remains open to the possibility of him re-joining the club after the supplementary selection period if there is a spot on Fremantle’s list.

Hayden Young and Griffin Logue both joined in training after ankle and turf toes ended their 2020 seasons early.

More to come

Liam Henry.

After listening to his presser on the club page, I’m seriously beginning to doubt this kids age. There is no way he’s a second year player. He speaks like a 25 yo who’s been in the system for years. Nothing phases him. He answers questions like he plays footy. Composure. Maturity.

Every time I say Brayshaw, Cerra, and Serong it makes me smile. I’ve got something seriously wrong with me. Lol.

Watch Young this year. Really hope he stays fit all year, gun. Really nice core we are building.

Hell yeah, but I purposefully left off Youngs name from that list. If I say Brayshaw, Cerra, Serong, and Young in the same sentence things happen to me that are not appropriate to share on Big Footy. [emoji13]
