I think with Healy, in his playing days going from Melbourne to Sydney has given him greater perspective on the national competition & the importance of a team like Fremantle.

He works hard at keeping us relevant on Fox, that’s for sure.

I'll always have a soft spot for Brenton Speed after watching this video



Truly a commentator who loves what he does. These are the commentators we need to be using for our games, rather than idiots like Dwayne and Dermott

Yep, Brenton Speed is excellent. Very happy that Channel 7 employed him to call the Olympic soccer.

Brenton Speed is a soccer/A-League guy through and through. Nothing wrong with that per se but it shows when he calls AFL he just goes through the motions. It's unfortunate that's the bar we have to set for acceptable commentary.

Hopefully for our next batch of finals we can get a Huddo or a Papalia calling the big moments.

BT is a peanut but I must say I've always loved his call of the 13 PF, was right on the Freo bandwagon that night.

Yeah he was great on the night. Really "got" the atmosphere of it all. Sadly I think he's become a bit unbearable since. The novelty has warn off.

Yep i agree and not afraid to clip players either on the way through poor effort or execution. He actually mixes himself up very well on the commentary is obivously the serious side then on bounce he lightens up and see the less serious side of him with banter.

He and the late danny frawley had that great chemistry and were always taking the mickey out of each other very well on that show.

Hamish McLachlan the worst. He probably needed counselling last weekend after his pet fave Izak Rankine

Huddo was the clear best for a long time but Jason Bennett and Adam Papalia are right up there alongside him now. I also quite like Montagna. Give him a couple more years experience and he will be among the best group as well.

He’s an international sports guy. He doesn’t have the passion for AFL. Which is fair enough, there’s plenty of other sports around the world. He’s a legend at soccer. Him and Simon Hill.
