Can people not see the angst which is created in this thread when he is miraculously praised like he won the game for us when really he just contributed and played an average game like any other inside midfielder would? It wasn't a bad game, but in no way shape or form did he "lead us to victory".
It's his constant praises of "brownlow medalist this and brownlow medalist that", "matt priddis was prolific as always", coaches votes every single fricken week despite putting in a very standard game, all the while having a long list of deficiencies we all know too well which never get mentioned outside of this board.
Listening to Ricuito say "Matt Priddis is having another stellar year" on the weekend. When really, he's actually not Roo, he's had his worst start to a season since 2008 based on CD ratings. But that's cool don't let the truth get in the way of pumping him up. You wouldn't be the first person to do that.

Apart from I think he is the lead singer (do you ever see them in the same room??). Priddis and Nickleback also have so much in common.

But yes sorry I should have been more specific re: whose voting I was talking about (being AFL.com, media and all the stupid MVP voting comps) However I can't see how you can watch priddis' performance in the game against port and firstly not see he is very poor at his only "strength" (mr extractor) let alone even vote him in the top 10 in BOG ????

we forced stoppages in the last 6 minutes or so against port and yes you are right Priddis was at every one of them . So this game is all about us making a stoppage so Priddis can catch up . or was that the little league game at half time

He's actually being played to his strengths and being forced to play with more versatility.
39 possessions and 2 goals. When he's surrounded by quicker and better finishing players, he can be very damaging.
I think there's two main things which are working in his favour this year (and in particular the last 2 games). One is that the rest of the midfield is stepping up more, particuarly some of the young blokes. And two, he no longer seems to be the focus of our hitouts. He was never the right option to be on the receiving end of taps.
When he and the team play to his strengths he is great and the team is better.
