We will beat the Giants and the Suns. We will lose the rest. Just keep it tame guys.
l think we could "steal" 1 more. Either Geelong or Adelaide might be gettable.

R7: v Greater Western Sydney, Corroboree Group Oval Manuka ✅
R8: v Geelong, GMHBA Stadium ❌ or ✅
R9: v Sydney, Marvel Stadium ❌
R10: v Adelaide, Adelaide Oval ❌ or ✅
R11: v Gold Coast, Marvel Stadium ✅

I don't want to be a fart in a crowded elevator but we aren't going to win any of our next six games unless we address the defensive pressure on rebound, the lack of connection between the back six and the midfield and the connection between the midfield and the forward line.

Richmond missing almost every set shot in the first half and having no bench in the second half wallpapered over the cracks, it was a very frustrating game. Daniels would have coughed up 5 goals alone in the first half against a half decent side. Larkey just refused to lead all game, kept calling for the ball to be dumped long and high and he checks notes had 1 mark inside 50 and 0 markes on a lead.

Watching the replay you can tell Clarko wasn't happy with how we were playing and tbh I wasn't either. Not all the sides we are coming up against are in great form so there is some hope.

There were some positives, Zurhaar down back looked pretty good. Some good individual performances.

Before Richmond ran out of gas we basically put zero pressure on them, there was no pressure on the rebound, and they were able to take uncontested mark after uncontested mark all the way into their forward 50 but just missed everything, it was one of the worst 10+ goal wins I had ever seen.

Darling was the only one in the forward 50 that went on leads but it was few and far between, leading is important even if they don't kick it to you it creates space and draws defenders away from where the ball ends up going.

if we rock up and play like we did against Richmond we are going to cop a 0-6 reality check and it is not even going to be close. Our midfield are complete cones when the ball is in our defensive 50, everyone is flat footed, it is why we piss fart with the ball in the back half, hold on to it for way too long then go for a dump kick up the line which is often turned over. Even the winless injury depleted Richmond moved the ball out of defensive 50 with much more system than we do.

We are relying on individual efforts, we aren't playing team oriented football. We are going to get murdered by teams that are team oriented unless something changes.
When Curtis pops up and grabs marks alone, it doesn't just happen. Larkey works like a bastard creating space. He is actually very selfless for a full forward, go back and have a look.

But I agree with the rest. I think that only game we will even be close to even money will be against Gold Coast, because it is at Marvel. Every other game we will be rank outsiders.

If we do win any other game, we'll be taking a scalp. We'll get a lift with X and FOS coming back (massive improvement), but I'm hoping/satisfied with 2 wins from the 6. And competitive performances in the rest.

Well I’m back from a pr0n Shoot in Hungary so apologies for the lack of posting. I’ve been rather busy popping Viagra Pills and that. Anyways not a great start to our Next 6 Week Block. We came close but if yah don’t shot a load what’s the point? We need to bounce back. We need to take a scalp. :stern look

Tall ask in the next three.

Taking any win from those three would be our best win since our last final win.

In each of them we would break a streak of some sort.

not to say we can't, I am legit excited to see what we can do.

My head says we lose all 3 but my heart wants us to so badly beat one of these ****ers. :stern look

I don’t think we are without a shot we would need a lot to go right.

During the preseason I solemnly believed that the Geelong game was one we lost when the fixture came out. That we did not have the mental ability to picture ourselves being victors in that game.

I really want to see us prove what I previously felt wrong.

So this Next 6 Week Block is looking very ordinary. Not a win. There was fair bit of smoke blowing by some, up various arseholes after the Sydney Loss. But the truth is we have many holes on our list. Players with ball winning talent that aren’t great at moving the ball with any fluency or accuracy. Guys that make dumb decisions. Small forwards that are very ordinary. Key defenders that are very ordinary. It’s a bit of a mess. Sadly an A Grade Bonafide Imbecile has been in charge of our list build and if we are honest with ourselves, we are way off it. And primarily it’s because of him as to why we are where we are. Anyway will we beat the GC? My heart wants to say yes but my head is telling me no. :stern look

Gold Coast game is a line in the sand moment.

If we lose that, wins in WA will be pretty meaningless.

If we lose that and lose the WA games we’re in a world of pain player and member retention wise.

If we win against Gold Coast, there’s a chance this year could still be meaningful progress .

Must be major changes and a take no prisoners approach to everything from here.

I thought 2-4 would be a great outcome and 1-5 would be okay. We can still get 2-4. Next week is obviously a big one.

I think Clarkson and Coaching staff have different ideas that don’t match up to modern day AFL.
Sick of the Bullshit exercises no more spin please

This post has aged very well - good work.

I would have preferred to be wrong, or for the club to see the bleeding obvious and address it. We had good individual performances last week, but broke down as a team. This week, not enough good individual performances and there was nothing as far as teamwork to fall back on.

Well we have notched up our first win in the 2nd 6 week block. We won 4 games out of 6 in the first 6 week block. And after losing 4 in a row we beat the GC. Freo would be an unlikely victory away from home after our bye. At least it’s in Bunbury. So it’s gonna be 2 and 4 or 1 and 5. :stern look

But it’s the next 6 week block that will define our season. We have some very winnable games. West Coast, Richmond, Essendon, Port, Collingwood and Melbourne. :stern look

Freo - Honestly we are a chance, they are bound to have an off day eventually.
Will be fresh while they are coming back from QLD.

WCE - Must win to make amends for R2, They have improved but North are ahead of them.

Richmond - Should be favs but Richmond at G will be competitive, we will win in the end

Essendon - WIN

I think our scope for improvement through these games is huge.

It’s one thing to fight out a game.

It’s another entirely to know you have the capacity to fight it out and win.

We need to win games in this block that signals to every player out there that we are coming. Specifically those players who could come in and play a role in lifting us further.

Shaking off the burden of being bottom of the totem pole of attractive destinations would be a huge win for this season.
