Massive.
There was no one else other than Raisi suited to carry the torch once Khamenei goes. He doesn't even trust his own son the way he trusted Raisi.
I'll put money on it that was a US weapon fired by US soldiers from inside Ukraine.
Serious question, in a cost of living crisis how much money does a contractor get by trying to provoke ww3?ATCAMS most certainly is a US weapon and yes, it would have required US ISR to target and US trained (at the very least) personnel to fire.
Most likely "contractors" rather than serving USA military though.
The British/American/Ukranian determination to try and win a land war at sea really is befuddling, unless you think of it as the Brits simply using Ukraine as a training ground for a future war.
If they IRGC interpret this as a decapitation strike, things are about to get horrific.
Let's hope this isn't the Archduke Franz Ferdinand moment du nos jours
That destroyed ship was one of the few capable of launching Russia's hypersonic missiles that you've spent the last couple of years praising. It's a significant defensive success by Ukraine to take that piece off the chess board.
Hell, it wasn't long ago that you were posting examples of Zirkon missiles hitting Ukraine and how significant that was.
Attempting to handwave this away as fighting a "land war at sea" is... bewildering.

Yeah, its one of their few seaborne ways of firing the hypersonics - which can be fired also from planes and on land.
Yeah bit of Spanish civil war about it, lets try out some new ways to kill each other before we get real serious about it.Yeah, its one of their few seaborne ways of firing the hypersonics - which can be fired also from planes and on land.
Its like when you got all excited about the ship they hit that could fire Kalibrs. It didn't stop the rate at which the Russian fire Kalibrs did it.
As I said, focusing win trying to win a land war at sea is befuddling, unless of course the people firing those ATACMS have absolutely no interest in actual Ukranian strategy or success, and are just using the country as a live fire testing ground.

What a species we are...
Its to keep those ships from re supplying the New Caledonian terrorists. At this stage when it is evident to all that Russians are in the process of comprehensively winning on land (opening new fronts at will and advancing on all the existing ones) it really does feel like practice for Taiwan/China is the main aim of all these attacks on ships.

Two of their fighter planes (Mig-31) that have been modified to deploy the hypersonic missiles were also targeted and destroyed on the runway this past weekend which I previously linked.
Doubt it's a coincidence that Ukraine is specifically targeting these systems, given the attacks on Kyiv earlier in the year using this missiles. Also, they're considered some of the most costly Russian equipment so enacting those losses on Russia will be significant.
They have over 200 Mig31s, yes, not all modded to carry hypersonics (yet), but two out doesn't mean much.
So you've posted an example of Russia pointing out the bleeding obvious. Well done.
Assange is a deeply problematic figure on many levels, but he was bang on when he said forever wars about laundering US taxpayer money back into shareholder profits for weapons manufacturers.
Its only possible when you have useful idiots (plenty on this site lol) who genuinely believe the PR campaigns spun up to justify this bullshit.
Obama had the guts to upend some Washington consensus - on Saudi, Israel and places like Ukraine. He understood, as he said, that Ukraine is not a core US interest in the same way that it is for Russia.

The Obama Doctrine and Ukraine | Brookings
In his interview with Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic, President Obama said Ukraine is a core interest for Moscow in a way that it is not for the United States. But the United States could have done more to help Kiev resist the Kremlin’s aggression, without engaging in war with Russia.www.brookings.edu
But Biden is an absolute creature of the US national security state, hence this Ukraine disaster. He knows who controls Kramatorsk does not matters to the good burghers of Peoria, IL but its not about that, its about the MIC.
Yeah, they're surrendering en masse in Kharkiv, because that's the sector you paid to get sent to as it was "quiet".
Collapse happens very slowly, then all at once, and even then often doesn't need to be apolocalypti to be decisive.
I think the endgame in Ukraine looks more like 1918 Germany than 1945 Germany.
Much of the German Army could have kept fighting and was on good order, the Alliesn hadn't even really penetrated Germany proper etc.
But the people had lost the will to fight on, the economy was ruined, revolution was popping up everywhere.
Not sure how they manage Zel here. They got guys like Gaddafi, Hussein etc off the board by demonising them after they'd extracted every ounce of usefulness.
Turning Zelesnky into a secular saint has made that hard. I've long said his biggest threat is not the Russians, but his "NATO-trained" bodyguards lol.
One may GO ROGUE, a LONE WOLF etc.
Can't happen until after US elex though.
Macron is only manufacturing this s**t for domestic reasons right though - to try and wedge the Le Penists (lol he said le penis) as "pro-Putin". Which they variously have been.
