I saw a statistic that said that something like 2/3rds of girls stop playing sport by age 15.

So saying the Matildas "looked like a bunch of year 10 girls" was particularly shitty, as it just doubles down on a shitty stigma at a time when those young girls need as much support as possible in terms of their connection to sport.

Particularly in these modern times we want to encourage participation in sports and both teenage boys and girls have issues with retention… just very very stupid, immature and disgusting (Endometriosis is extremely painful physically and mentally)

Hoping your daughter isn't deterred by people being an arseh*le isn't a value. I can hope that while still holding to the value that I think it's shit, for anyone let alone someone acting in their professional capacity, to hurt other people.

Personally i didnt know of the endo gags and i think its pretty bad taste. I take it thats where you are refering to the hurt comments and fair enough. Still thats the area so called shock jocks operate in.

Back to the soccer teams. i very much doubt a young girl would let a radio jocks comment be the basis of if she wanted to play the sport. And regarding retention its far more related to people not having secure long term jobs that they can acure sick leave to cover injuries and the like.

And the value comment was descriptive of my values rather than a third party.

Finally i know it aint 1980 any more so iam hardly surprised by the outrage.
