Brew your own you lazy bugger.

Meh. Mornings dont stop for me from 7-9am being flat chat pretty much. I savor enjoying my coffee after dropping off kids on the way to work.

I do brew my own on camping trips though.

Reckon it takes me 5ish minutes to brew a proper coffee from grinding beans through to heating the milk, it's a nice rhythm to get into to have some routine in the morning that's undisturbed but also doesn't take much time/thought.

Click and collect is fine.

Doesn't need to be open for the public IMO

In your opinion, plenty have explained why that's not the reality and the reason it remains open. You don't have to accept it.

Even quicker if you dont have milk!

I usually stick the milk under the frother and go get my breakfast or something sorted while it's heating so don't have to sit on it, but yeah definitely the longest part of the process. Still pops out a fantastic coffee. Switching to beans from pods has been such a huge difference in the quality.

I have a machine at home, but it doesnt do the same job a a professional machine(sll about the pressure). I have worked as a barista before too.

Yeah fair, guess I mean that if you don't completely **** it up then it's going to be pretty good, and only professionals would taste the difference. To me there's no difference between a coffee I do and a professional, or not enough difference to make it worth it.

Yeah I would agree for anyone who prefers anything with milk. But when I switched to a long black it's literally no different to the process they do in a coffee shop

I'd almost say the opposite. Milk can mask any issues with the processing of the beans, but having it straight is probably more important to have it done properly.

Yeah i only drink black, but it really depends where you go.

The places who take their coffee seriously with single origin beans and in store roasting you can easily taste the difference.

There's more skill involved in getting the milk right which is what I notice when I do get a coffee with milk. I've got a decent machine but nothing out of this world and I'd prefer my own long blacks or very little difference to most places, but as soon as it's a latte out I think yeah this way better than I'd make

And significantly better for the environment

Haha no way, much less nuance to heating milk than extracting coffee from beans.

Gave up coffee last year. Was going 6-7 shots per day minimum, got pretty unhealthy.

Moka pots & Aeropress, if executed properly can completely negate the need for machine brews. Hiiiighly recommended.
Aeropress are great, so portable and perfect for camping.

If you need advice from Bunnings to change a fuse you shouldn't be changing a fuse.

Don't think anyone suggested that. Odd input.
