I have an indoor soccer match Monday night and a mate said "It's a shame you'll miss the funeral" - is it?? I wasn't going to watch even if I was home lol, I'd be watching House of the Dragon or something else.

Again I dont have any care one way or the other. Just thought the whole thing was interesting and was just reading about it so I brought it up here.

Mindful of not participating in a pile on given your posts on the bullying aspects previously. What I will add though in regards to the bolded, I struggle to believe that when you have wilfully chosen to spend the time that you have on the topic and then make a number of posts about it here. Particularly with the last rant on Serena (another woman of colour, similar theme emerging here). Time and energy is finite, would strongly suggest to perhaps be more judicious in where you spend it.

The SBS news just had some info that the queue is currently 4.9 miles long and on average, people are going to walk 9 hours before they reach the Queen. Grief stricken people the lot of them lol.

The woman was 96 years old and going to die eventually. I get postponing sports events for the Queen’s death but now it’s like, just bury her and give her body that respect. Don’t drag it on.

Seems like a lot of republican based views being said here which is expected and understandable. Lots of the UK are deeply monarchist so their behaviour is just as understandable.

Parts of my family are English migrants and know that my nan, mother and uncles will all be watching the funeral.

To be fair, there's a growing minority in the UK that aren't as well. Especially those around my age and younger.

Also people always jump to colour. I dont like Serena Williams, it has nothing to do with the colour of her skin. Everybody else said that. That's the problem with today's society I guess.
