I'm sure this happens many times in amateur football all over the world as the default result for a forfeit is 3-0.

Happened to my 35s team years ago where we needed our rival for the title to drop points last round of season. Only problem was the team they played were our bitter local rivals. The forfeit was in on the Monday morning before a Friday night game due to "sickness" lol.

Based on what?
I'm sure there were polls run but I remember at the time the vast majority of the fan base was split on what to do moving forward.

Which in and of itself was likely to be an issue.

Spurs in the Championship, Leicester in League One. What a difference 10 years makes...

Not sure that's true, think once they won Europa league most were pretty happy to let him have a go at it.

I have no real way of proving it but I don't even think the Spurs fans on here were in agreement (and that's with the added Aussie bonus).

Either way, this season hasn't been any better for them and I'm not sure Ange would've done any worse.

Ange deserved a shot at this season after winning the EL. So it’s pretty shit that he was sacked so soon after finishing 5th and giving up on the league for months on end to focus on the EL, which they won. It was either trying to make Europe through the league (not likely) or through the EL. He chose the later.

Well that's not accurate, I wouldn't say the vast majority of fans were happy for that at all.
Most in England still wanted him gone.

Frank being utterly useless doesn't change that Ange was not much better.

76 pts from the last 66 league games is sackable in a very very large number of clubs. Which is virtually where we are now with 29/26 under Frank.

Sack him, then sweep the broom through the place top to bottom.

Recruitment and transfer business has been a disgrace in recent seasons.

Ange would have struggled in the PL this year with Spurs. Arteta has the whole EPL playing Rangers football. Long throws, play for fouls and set pieces. Ange doesn't even bother training set pieces so would be stuffed.

That said, usually when you sack someone, you have someone better lined up. Frank has never won jack shit in his life. Brondby are a big enough club that if he had something about him, he would have been able to win it that league.

Putting in Jurgen Klinsmann who played one season in the PL, but leaving out two time PL POTY Nemanja Vidic is why you don’t trust Americans when it comes to football lol.
