I stopped at The Gap about a year ago. The water really beats into the cliff. I remember commenting that falling in would be a terrible way to go.

What's the etiquette with priority seats on trains? IMO they are for old people, people with disabilities and people with prams/young kids.

Would you stand so that 4 people can occupy 8 priority seats with themselves and 4 bikes? Gets a no from me.

There was a helicopter continuously buzzing over the Rivervale / Burswood area last night. Turns out it was anti-terrorism practice.

Exactly right. They're not even supposed to be on inbound trains 7-9am or outbound 4.30-6.30pm.

They came over my way about 4 times last night. I couldn't tell whether it was one or two choppers - one had a couple of navigation lights, one blinking, but there was another just red light quite a way in front of it and it was the same on each pass, exactly the same distance in front but way longer than a Blackhawk (if that's what the chopper was). Looked very odd.
