That's okay. I'm pretty forgettable.

So why do you find it hard to believe we both went to JWSHS?

Wrong wording really - don’t have much of a say in which zone you fall in which was how it was when I was there.

Willcocks reputation wasn’t/isn’t flash and in my time it catered mainly for those kids who lived on the wrong side of the tracks and who grew up drinking rum. You don’t strike me as being one of those kids - we also know what assuming does......

I was only in Gero from mid year 7 to mid year 9 before moving back to Perth. Mt Tarcoola. Dad moved there for work. Not sure I'll ever live in a house with such a great view of the ocean again. I thought JW was alright but there were a lot of indigenous kids there who, for a multitude of reasons I didn't really understand at the time, didn't take school at all seriously and preferred to cause trouble. Having said that there were plenty of white bogan/skeg dickheads there too who more often than not came from crayfisherman/farming money and didn't care about school either but for different reasons. There were a lot of good kids there too though and I had some really good friends that I completely lost touch with. Not sure how that compared to GSHS. It was a stark contrast to Leeming SHS which is where I moved back to. A government school that tried to take itself way too seriously and pretend it was a private school.

I'd been anticipating this for a while and now it's finally happened and I'm sad - the Chinese BBQ stall at the International Eating House in Vic Park is no longer there.

Not really that surprising as the operators were getting on (my family must have been going there for at least thirty years) but damn it they made the best Singapore Fried Rice and Kway Teows and the BBQ pork was the best I've had in Perth.

Now I need a new Chinese BBQ - give me your (SOR) recommendations!

Did you read the Sunday Times ?

Felt some of the comments were a bit over the top
My wife did buy it but I've already laid it out in the laundry for the dog tonight.

Reading the Sunday Times is Perth really getting that unsafe at night ?

I pick up my daughter of a night time if she is out and isn’t coming home with friends as she is now afraid to get into a taxi after the driver made her an “offer” and when she declined stopped the car and she got out. she’s had friends who have had hands put up skirts and all of them have had their breasts “brushed” as guys go past at some point. They don’t go out as often anymore and instead wait till the partners of a couple of the girls are back (fifo) or just go to a pub and don’t continue on

My GF will only walk in the CBD with a group at night and gets into cabs with her fiends.

Most of her issues have been at Midland station during the afternoon when she's on her own

The underpass at McIver is delightful - I’ve started using Claisebrook. But never would I use it at night
