A Petition outside the MCG on sunday is not going to help the Carlton football club, regardless of the situation we must support the team. Some supporters seem to forget when Denis Pagan came to the club we had no early draft picks for 2 years and that destroyed the club. Eg lets imagine Brisbane Lions who are last at the moment had no early draft picks for next 2 years they would be stuffed.

The only mistake Denis made he should hve never recruited recycled players to our club because of that we are two years behind. Bad enough we had no draft picks but recruiting recycled players have made things worse.

Why recruit Saddington, Chambers, Longmuir, McCrath, Teague, Bower, Harford, Scotland, Martin, Clarke, Carrazzo, French, Johnson. In what draft picks we had left we should of kept and used them on youth. Carlton is suffering for winning 10 games in 2004. I think when a new coach is appointed the main priority is to build a team and too improve year by year and by the 6th or 7th
aim for the premiership. Alastair Clakson is a great example Hawthorn in a few years are going to be a wonderful side and thats the process Denis Pagan must take with our club. YOUTH, YOUTH, and YOUTH the only petition that needs to be signed outside the MCG on sunday regardless who is coaching.

it would be interesting too see what picks we gave up for these players and what trades were made

based puerly on draft selection and what players were picked with those picks and not taking into account different clubs make different choices
if we had 1st pick then you replace our choice with the next pick
if we had last pick you then go to PSD and then rookie draft etc

hope these are right.

saddington = simon buckley
bower = shane morrision
mcgrath = trade away justin murphy
scotland = brent hall
teague = mckernan
morrell = mckernan
mott = ben hudson
mclaren = Sam Iles

For a start Clarkson has had draft picks coming out of his arse,You need a mix of old and young,too young they get bashed.Saddington,McCrath, Teague,Scotland,Carrazzo, French even Longmuir are picked for a reason.

Scotland,Carrazzo,McCrath & French have been good players,Pagen had very little to do with the French trade by the way.

Also think of the players we lost Angwin,Norman to guys who could have been champs and C.Croad who could have been anything if they had of worked hard.3 young tall skillfull kids who where skillfull,our team would be far better of than it is now.
