PIEMAN RESULTS ROUND 20 v ESSENDON
WB 22.13 143 annihilated Essendon 7.8 50

Another one-sided contest against the Dons. Not going to tire of that! It's also good to have a game every few weeks where we aren't on the edge of our seats. Next week will be different.

This was the highest WB score of the year and the most goals kicked. Yet remarkably the 7 who made it to the score sheet was the (equal) lowest number of goalkickers for the season. That's because Naughton, Darcy and West hogged nearly all the goals!

So there were no Chumps this week, although there were 12 Pieman teams that came close with four goalkickers each.

Carryover Teams and Pieman Substitutes

There were 16 carryover teams but only two Pieman subs were needed.
Both lateniter and chez_ferret got West (39) for the WB sub, Vandermeer. A handy pickup!

The KELVIN

The carryover team of Palace03 (221) narrowly took out the Kelvin this week from another carryover team, ossie_21 (217). LordC (201) was the only other to crack 200 points.

This was Palace03's second Kelvin of the year. His 221 points was only 13 short of the maximum possible.



The PIEMAN

The lead of TiAn_ continues to dwindle. All of a sudden we have at least five with a strong chance of winning it. And maybe a few more after that who are still not out of it. Four games to go ... and hopefully even some finals.

Snarls Barkley made up 59 points on the leader this week. With his Kelvin win (221 pts) Palace03 took a massive 150 points off TiAn_ and is now only 5 points behind Snarls. LordC's 201 points meant he too came back strongly into calculations to be 75 points behind Palace03 in fourth. fargy dropped back a bit this week to fifth but is still only 170 points off the lead.

I've cut out a lot of rounds from the leaderboard below because the full table is probably getting too small to read on your devices, especially smart phones. I think the main thing you want to see is the "TOTAL" column.

However if anyone wants to see the full season results just let me know and I'll post the entire table.




Pieman Player of the Week

For once it was the main forwards fighting it out for PPotW. Naughton prevailed with 49 points from his highest ever goal tally (7). Darcy and West weren't far behind.




Pieman Player of the Year

West maintains a handy lead in the season leaderboard but Astro jumped into second place.
Not bad having three players with 30 goals after only 20 rounds.
