It look as though the club are going down the path of less is more, which I am a big fan of. Would have to take a look at that polo in person, but so far so good. Also, what is the chance of that jumper being amazingly comfortable?

I don't reckon our member merch range has been any good at any stage. The normal merch is better.

It's better, on the face of it.

But they shot themselves in the foot by going Bears for alliteration and then basing their mascot around an animal that isn't a bear and for some reason Australian's get funny when it's called a bear, like we select bred them for millions of years personally or something.

Power is a weak name that we've managed to turn around on the back of marketing off of our enormous and unrivaled history.

When you're building a club out of nothing, people's first reaction to your branding shouldn't be "they know koalas aren't bears, right?"

We had so much strength behind us that despite some of the worst branding decisions in the history of man, we could switch back at any time to the enviable tradition of the club and ignite the supporter base.

I was given a scarf by my sister early in our AFL life. Can't remember exactly when. It's half as long again as the usual scarves and was made when we were called "Port Power" by everybody, not just people who want to piss us off. It was made in the UK. The middle of it is teal and has PORT ADELAIDE in big letters and the old logo, the fist and lightning bolt with "Port Power" above it. The ends each have black and white stripes with PORT ADELAIDE in black letters and the AFL logo on them. There are white lightning bolts separating the teal from the stripes.

It's also about half as wide again as a normal scarf.

I love it even more because the missus covets it big time.

I rock one of these bad boys to most games since it's always ****in' cold. Had it since I was like 7.

Probably should get one of those NTUA scarves but I admit that teal looks dashing on scarves.

This is the one I wear... However I have the original which says "Port Power" on the logo.

Not a fan of the NTUA scarves.
