Gaspar looked good.
Hunter showed a lot of promise
Chambers is improving nicely
Taylor looked excellent
Collica did well
Braun and Embley were underdone but came through and should improve.
Jako looked better
Turnbull did okay
Carroll was worth 2/10 instead of 1/10

I would have to agree with what you said there. I think Gaspar did very well for a first gamer. Had a purple patch at the start, and then gave a good hard performance from then on in. Chambers is definately improving. Carroll played much better, too bad harding couldn't have done a little better. Jako did look a little better, but was still quite often too slow to stay with Thompson. Backline looked better, but were baraged all day, so were bound to get a lot scored against. Our forward line was non existent, but that can be worked on.

I thought it was Carrolls best game for the Club. After being dropped it takes character to come back like that. Good on him I hope he goes on with it. We got slaughtered in the mid field today. It was a surprise to see Wilson get dragged again. Its hard to get goals when the ball is not going into the forward line.

Banfield and Fletcher sitting on the bench should send a message to those two. They are two of the main culprits for our poor performance. I think they should drop Fletcher and bring in Humm.

GO EAGLES!

I wouldn't say there were any positives but there were some "sign's" from some players.

Gaspar had a fairly average debut, looks the goods to play AFL.
Hunter tried hard all day and withheld Dixon quite well.
Jako looks a bit faster every week now.
Collica tried hard but the constant attack finally got to him.
Carroll played better, could be a handy 3rd defender if he continues this way.
Embley tried hard whilst on ground.

Overall though, it was the young brigade I felt that tried the hardest. Wilson finally fired up in the last qrt but it was a pretty dismall match all up :(

LOL, that's what I was going to add Vis :)

I've also gotta say that I am impressed with Chaddie Fletcher. I didn't see much of todays game, and can't quite bring myself to watch the video ;)..... but he is a player who always seems to go for the ball... all the time. He has a shot on goal when the others are fumbling around.... he lands a tackle, and stays with it rather than 'falling off' his opponant like his teamates.... I like him anyway, and don't agree he should be dropped.

Only other positives I noticed were that we kept the margin to under 100 points, and my dad bet we'd lose by 60+ (I was angry til he offered my some of the winnings ;) )

"And big Cox goes up for the West Coast..." -Glenn Mitchell

I dont think you could really say any positives came out of the match. We now have the worst % in the league and sit in 15th with a record of 2 - 6! Whats positive about that.

If anything can be taken from the game then it would be no injuries which totally surprised me and that Gaspar's debut was good and suggests he will be there next week against the doggies.

Considering 3 of our best defenders were out in Morrison, Matera and Milli and a promising youngster who will be good in Glass i thought not losing by 100 points was a small victory.

All in all does anyone give us a chance against the Dogs and is anyone of quality returning for the game?

Couldn't agree more!

i don't think we should look to much into that game.
With 14 players out injured, idont care what anyone says, but there is no possible way to cover 14 injuries (most of which out to players in our normal starting 22).
