Considering our young team, was a positive effort.
Love my boys.we have some terrific young players coming on.
Great effort from Goose and Stefan.Ash showed he still has a bit left too.
2015 will be the beginning of a new era.
Go Lion Cubs.

Our second tier midfield looks good. Martin continues to dominate. Will be interesting if Leuy comes back in the side this year what role he will play. My guess he'll play forward with stints in the ruck, I would play Martin as the 1st ruck until someone takes the mantle from him. Good competition for the future.

Martin was brilliant again.

I thought Harwood really stepped it up too.

Possibly a positive, although it really is but more an indictment on our key forwards really, but Josh Green has now gone into the outright lead on our goal kicking table with a whopping 22 goals.

Patfull is a marvel. Playing in the media's blindspot in Brisbane is the only thing keeping him from the All-Australian team.
Absolute beauty. He's actually going better than in previous years. He never loses a contest.

Things are becoming clear in terms of our plan to push up the ground. Until we clean up our disposal it will end up with slingshot goals here and there, but you can't fault the effort and the way we're taking the game on at the moment.

Our pressure has been consistent apart from Freo ... it's an offensive style of defence.

The way our backline will potentially work when it all clicks and everyone gets a few years under their belt looks exciting.

Seriously happy with our performance tonight considering how far to the bottom we're scraping on our list.

Oh! Oh! Dizzy's tackle!

Moment of the match. I have a fractured rib and that moment impulsively got me out of my seat where I let out the most agonising roar and nearly passed out from the pain.

It was a mighty, mighty tackle.

Right in front of you too.

We had a couple of epic Gardiner spoils in front of our section. I haven't seen this much joy over a defensive act since Mal.

If anyone wants to experience the true joy of football, I urge you to go to a game and focus on Lewis Taylor. You won't be disappointed. He plays in a way that brings a smile to my face.

Speaking of Mal Michael, when West Coast accidently kicked that behind at our end while trying to switch, it made me think of the day Mal Michael drilled a behind through the middle in frustration.

I love his lateral strafing move after he marks the ball. Incredibly agile at going sideways and then forward again. He burns the man on the mark every time.

I dunno how he tested by I actually don't think he has great straight line speed. It is just that he moves sideways at the same speed as he moves forward. Hanley is the same.

That, combined with his Black-esque game sense and his passion for the
club, makes Taylor a delight to watch.

Absolutely loved Golby's game tonight (bar the missed set shot). Good decision making, good skills, good defensively - he was back to the player he was last season in this match. Hope he can continue it, because he brings a lot to the side when he's in form.

Thought the midfield functioned pretty well and more than held its own(in the midfield)

I could make some disparaging remarks about the delivery into the forward line but I'll save that for the Vent Thread and instead say that there were a number of good "tries"

Yeah from memory Zorko had the same knock on him. Both of them play with such energy you can't help but get excited. Love it when a high ball is kicked to Lewy as well- you can see on his face he knows he's got little hope but just busts a nut to get some air time and contest.

That came up in conversation with my cronies. That is the kind of thing one never forgets.
