I know his wraps, but he didnt inspire me with toughness in the games I saw him play in AFL last year. My memory is a little fuzzy. But he didnt stand out to me.

Maybe because he was KO'd in the first 5 mins against west coast? The other games he had a real dip and was hard at it so I have no idea what your on about.

Was concussed twice would be a reason for that, but his toughness was wanting to play on. Kid isn't scared to put his head under the ball

Maybe it's the ruck work, I was under the impression Mitchell wasn't getting a gig because we had couldn't fit him in as a inside mid (which he is)

We can only do this with Alex Johnson as he is out of contract (if he hasn't re-signed yet). Everyone else has re-signed for next year and to delist them would impact our salary cap which makes what your suggesting pointless.

Because they aren't in even a slight way relevant. We have to fill the list, we either do it with pick 58 or pick 17 in the rookie draft. The difference is 40 fewer (thanks RUNVS) players available.

I'll now contradict my own argument by saying that my stats on draft success do show a very modest gap between performance of draftees 50+ and those in the rookie draft.

We can probably get Caleb Daniel in the rookie draft if we want. I wouldn't be against it at 37 but he is probably a late pick.

We could. The issue is salary cap space not list space. We could technically take 3 more if we chose too but cap space is restricting us.

No doubt, it essentially means Malceski's wages are being soaked up by other players contracts this year... ouch

If we delisted Johnson surely a team with a selection prior to us would pick him up? Despite the fact he is injured you'd still take a punt on him I reckon, he's a quality player.

Quality player, no doubt... but about to have a 4th reconstruction and likely to be out for all of this year at the very least, would a team honestly take him?? It would be out of spite and even though we are hated I just don't see it happening.

I read he is a chance to start round 1 if not soon after. LARS is a 3 month job. This is all of course if the op is a success.
