Used both, hosts will generally bend over backwards otherwise they know it will be reflected in reviews.
I would happily trade in most of their knick-knacks, fresh-flowers-on-the-table, beginner's guide to the local area stuff for them to do their own damn cleaning. Which is why I prefer hotels. I'm there to relax, not maintain your property.

How do you go getting an NBN connection checked. I have FTP and I've bought 3 routers and each one is dishing out shit internet so I'm guessing it's the actual network to the house. I run speed tests and they show no speed issues but I can barely load pages on an ethernet connection and wifi doesn't work at all.
