Can anyone tell me if an electric vaporiser helps with stress, like smoking does? I know smoking helps, but I don't want it as a solution.

Sister is going away for 6 months and I have to look after her 2 cats, any tips on how to keep them running away straight away. Not locking the campaigners up for 6 months, too painful.

Keep em on tight supervision for maybe the first week but ensure to feed them. If they run away, they will come back only because they know thats where to go to get fed. Although this is coming from someone who has zero experience with cats

The original post makes no sense and I've read it like five times.

Not running away straight away? Is that how it should read?

Run away straight away, calls them campaigners. haha they wont have a long time with him.

but nah for reals 2 weeks lock up they reckon. Don't feed them the morning they first go out

Smoking only helps if you're addicted to smoking. It's a stimulant so it doesn't actually relax you.
Interesting.

I haven't smoked much before. I smoked like 5 cigarettes 3 years ago because I was stressed and because I wanted to try it.

I stopped because I didn't want to rely on it as a crutch. I doubt I'm addicted, most likely a placebo effect yesterday. Or maybe I am? If I'm really stressed I do mentally picture myself smoking. I dunno.

Also, in that post I meant to write electronic cigarettes not vaporisers.

Those first smokes you had might have given you a bit of a head rush, provided you inhaled properly. If it was a relaxant, that wouldn't happen.

I always just assumed as a kid that smoking relaxed people, was surprised to find out it's not the case.

The answer is no. In Australia, ecigs don't come with nicotine, so you're just vaping for the action of smoking, not the 'hit' you get from a cigarette. Trust me, it's really boring. This will not help your stress levels at all. You can legally purchase ejuice with nicotine in it from o/s, but you're just addicting yourself to the nicotine hit, not the act of vaping. If you think nicotine is OK and you want to get hooked on ecigs, go for it. But I know you're not an idiot, so don't even think about trying vaping again :thumbsu:

People do a lot of shit that's bad for them.

RE: the smell, I think people don't realise how strong it is. When my parents quit smoking they both suddenly noticed how bad smokers smelled and didn't believe us when we told them that they used to smell exactly the same.

Are they outdoor cats ?

We have a cat cage out the back. It's a long thing made of metal fences [I think about half a dozen bits, one of which is a gate] and we got 2 lots to make a big cage.We used a wall as the back so we could have a long cage and then put some netting over the top to stop them getting out.It has dirt, plants,a dog house for them to go in or lie on top of and the metal slide bit of an old kids slide laid out flat over 2 pot plants for them to sit of lie on.Our cats love it.

Yeah I assume they just get used to it. Sometimes customers go for a smoke and then come to speak to you and you can just smell them coming a mile away. It's quite off putting.
