What are your thoughts on BMW's having owned one?

Really good cars but can get a little expensive if it needs repairs. Great driving feel and lots of little extras. I had one of these. I enjoyed it but it needed a couple of things fixed. My wife wasn't using the other car much so I just traded in for something that was more multi-purpose.

Doing a debate for uni. Just wanted to get the general opinion of some posters on here.

My team is arguing that there are too many media laws, and that we don't need more regulation of free speech, from a media perspective.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Too easy.

Everyone has the right to an opinion, to free speech.

Even if you disagree with the opposing opinion vehemently, nothing good can come out of banning or regulating certain opinions.

The only way we can tackle contentious topics and improve ourselves as a society, is through civil discussion and that won't happen if you completely ignore the other side.

Pushing an agenda without explaining yourself, isn't contributing to society nor the issue itself. And you can only do that by listening to opposing views, explaining why they are wrong and you are right.

Much like a debate. There's a reason why a debate structure allows 2 sides to an issue have an uninterrupted time to express their opinion, then allow a rebuttal and then an explanation of an opposing stance.

Much like how debates do not need more regulation, media shouldn't either.

You are allowed to take that word for word.

Thanks, that's much appreciated. I like the comparison to a debate.

You can also then sit down, kick your shoes off and light up a *** for the remaining 3 minutes of your allocated time because you have won the debate

For the past 4-5 days I've had a sore back that just won't let up.

Sore not like I've been hitting the gym, more like if you wake up with a stiff neck.

Is this a mattress problem?

It's a lazy problem. I get this from time to time just caused by slouching in a chair too often.

You need to actually exercise your core muscles which support you. You might want to google core strengthening exercises.
