Honestly, just go full rage mode. It's the only way it's gonna work. That's a cool idea; yeah I have a premium Spotify subscription so was always just planning on using that as the medium of choice and having the computer/phone somewhere inside so it can't be changed. I don't mind other people playing their stuff if the vibe has died off a bit, but it's the mid-song skips that really shit me at other people's parties.
And yeah Cruyff14 it is my party and I'm genuinely surprised my parents haven't had more of a "do what makes you happy" attitude which is usually their style of thinking; I just hate their attitude that this is a party they are putting on and hosting for me, rather than it being my party
This probably all sounds very petty and childish but I just reckon I'm getting hard done by and it's sorta eating me up potentially having to play shithouse music all night at what should be a time to remember
They might be paying for it, but it is YOUR birthday and it should be what makes YOU happy. If you go ahead and put music you want, is she even gonna know (until the night), and would she do anything at the party if she didn't agree with the playlist?
I don't think it's childish at all. It's your party, I have so much more fun when there is music on that I like, and at my own bloody party, I'd make sure it was music I bloody well wanted.
