The race for the top 4

You can't ignore the soft fixture from here on in for Sydney and Fremantle.

Port might upset the applecart for them, Hawks less so

yep the afl jumped in the delorian to plan the run home

Are you denying Freo and Swans have a softer fixture than the others?

I don't believe I made any reference to anything else. Whatever you imagined I said or whatever you think I'm inferring shows you probably have a chip on your shoulder

Freo had the toughest fixture for the first half of the season and have a very tough fixture for the last month.

Sydney has had the toughest run of all - but come through well.
What Port, Freo and Hawks now understand is that Swans have great attacking weapons plus furious defence which rushes opponents and weakens their own attack.
We deserve to be premiership favourites.

Come the end of the season we would have played Port, Hawthorn & Geelong twice plus Sydney (the other top 5 team) away from home.

The other two teams we play twice are the WCE which is a given every year, and Brisbane who granted are rubbish but a rd 22 trip to the GABBA on a Sunday is not ideal preparation for finals.

We just have an easy run of 9-10 games at the moment, but the start of the season was bloody tough, we did well to be 5-4.

If by toughest you mean easiest, then yes, yes they have.

That is such crap.
We play Port twice and Hawks. I don't see how one draw is so much worse than others.
Fact is - we are a great team that has won 10 in a row.
Why all the pathetic whining - cola, easy draw etc.
Aren't you idiots adults?

You've only played them once so far and both in Sydney, so how does that contribute to you having had the toughest draw?

Freo had the toughest fixture for the first half of the season and have a very tough fixture for the last month.

I was referencing from here on it. Nothing to do with what has preceded it

Melbourne away
Giants home
St Kilda away
Carlton home
Cats away
Hawks home
Lions away
Port home

Hardly a "very tough" last month

Yes, based on ladder position after H&A season last year (used this rather than after finals to avoid the mess with Essendon's demotion), Sydney's run home is only slightly easier than Hawthorn's. We play on average a team that finished at 8.5 on the ladder, and Sydney 9.25, so less than 1 rung on the ladder.

Still reckon Sydney had an easier run overall, and Sydney playing St Kilda, Doggies and Richmond in the final three weeks should allow for some strategic resting leading into the finals, compared to Hawks having Freo, Cats , Pies, and probably needing to win at least 2/3 of those to make the top 2 (perhaps even top 4 if things go badly in earlier games). Of course Sydney's run looks a little easier with Richmond's drop down the ladder, but you can hardly blame an AFL conspiracy for that (playing 2/3 of last years top 4 only once and at home on the other hand.... :-) ).

Surprised people writing off Cats for Top 4. Not as good as they once were but still one game off the top of the ladder. Would be surprised if they won the flag however

This is the exact BS that signifies to the rest of us that Sydney supporters actually know SFA about the game... Of course you have had the toughest run, of course you have :drunk:

Essendon
Collingwood
Hawthorn
Geelong

All those teams have had a much harder fixture.

Yes, I expect us to finish minor premiers in the 2014 'nothing to do with what preceded it league' and with Hawks unlikely to finish top 4, May have a chance in the 2014 ntdwwpi big one. Our first silverwares!

Agreed! I think cats can make the top four but will struggle to make the grand final. Unless they play hawthorn first week then maybe. Port dockers and Sydney will smash them away

We will absolutely demolish Geelong. Port I'm not so confident about because Watson will probably still be out and I think it's over there.
This is a Geelong team that's won 2 more games than us but their percentage is still lower. Team on the slide (n)
They've won 3 of their last 5 and barely scraped through against Carltank, a game they should have lost if officiated properly.
Essendon meanwhile has been clinical in their last 3 wins. Also hung in there against Sydney after the first quarter and didn't fall to pieces like Gee110ng

Damn! What happened man?

You tosser.
We had to take on Port, Hawks, Geelong, Essendon, Crows at home.
Why whine about a tough run if you can't win them all.
You VFL losers can't handle our 10 in a row stretch.

Guess what - there's more to come.
