weather is unpredictable, and yes when the BOM finally declared El Nino it would be fair to say that it was going to be a real hot one based on the data. However the data has now changed because one of the drivers that puts you in El Nino is weakening dramatically so forecasts are going to start changing over the next few weeks i would imagine.
