So just a question. I don't have an EPL team, but to my understanding based on observation, I don't actually have to watch any games or know anything about the club to call myself a fan, right?

If so, whats a good one?

Based on the description? Liverpool.

I don't follow the EPL at all - is this guy the EPL equivalent of Tippy Tippy Day Day?

More like the Taylor Walker. Super-talented but petulant and prone to occasional hilarious stupidity. And he has a shit haircut.

I think sunderland would be a good fit for you as a port supporter, constantly under achieves, has a massive fan base that like to hate on their players alot, have made plenty of bad signings, have recently got a new manager who might actually do something with the team, have a great history. come join the black cats

ok so these EPL clubs have insane budgets. why do they all have the same website designed by an IT student?

I'm in the same boat as Portia. Don't have a team and watch very little of the game. I suspect there's a "through to the keeper" moment for the both of us in tribey's Liverpool suggestion.

Off topic I hate the burka, watching these smug husbands of, walking around sea world in there shorts and thongs, all while the wife is a walking "mummy" is sickening
To this one I say mind your own business. If they want to dress like that let them. Just because you don't like it. it's tough shit really.

Seeing as Oasis ripped off The Beatles, it seems like Australia was ahead of the UK.

Not really a bad band to get your inspiration from are they?

Saw something like this in Mawson Lakes last summer.

40 degrees. He was strutting around in shorts, sandals, sunspecs and an easy-breezy tee, she was a shuffling Scooby Doo character who would've got away with it too...

If the Caliphate ever comes I'm buying shares in IV-saline.

Not necessarily a wise business decision - as you would know the traditional clothing is worn in +50c with horrendous humidity to go with it. They don't seem to miss a beat.

They don't.

We would (hence 'if the Caliphate comes...'). Is it too early for Qutbism?

That's the thing though, if these women didn't want to they'd still be forced to by their husbands, their religion and their community. It's the imbalance between the sexes that holds the injustice, the burka is just something that represents that. But each to their own I suppose. If I don't want people to tell me how to live my life then I'm not going to tell others.

I would answer your question if I knew what it meant - even after looking it up.o_O

I'm doubtful they want to dress like that regardless of your view of "mind your own business", which I might add is a ridiculous view point.

They're (muslim)egotistical views and beliefs see women suppressed on par with the Afro Americans of yesteryear. They are lead to believe dressing in that manner is what is right, this isnt a knock on the Quran of their religious views, it's a knock on ridiculous cultural restrictions, but as we all have opinions and we are free to state them on this forum, I call bullshit I the burka!

No your 'doubt they want to dress like that' is ridiculous. Why do you get the say in how they dress? Why should you have more of a say than the woman and her husband?
The egotistical here is the person wanting to forbid somebodies expression of faith. You may not agree with it, that doesn't make it wrong.

What about ridiculous cultural norms that sexualise children that exist in Australia and much of the West? A far greater problem I believe.

Comments like 'they are forced to' are just supposition. An opaque excuse to attack anothers idea of normal.

and my post wasn't telling them they can't dress as they wish, it was aimed squarely at the inequality in said culture, while Mr Khalid walks around in his cargo shorts, polo shirt, Colorado flip flops and Prada sunnies, his better half walks around in a hessian sack and balaclava onesie!

It's not inequal if that's what they want to do.
Just like women who choose to care for the home, their choice of gender roles is none of your business.

Imagine if inequality was so acceptable in our culture?
