What the **** is it with the proliferation of Camry drivers on the Port board at the moment?

Nothing going on at the Kar Park?

They're too busy making like the Israeli iron dome by deflecting attacks.

If you plan on keeping the car a long time consider the Cruze Diesel. Modern turbodiesels drive well and over the long term are far more economical in terms of running and servicing.
I love our (wifes) 2012 Territory diesel and it is as quick as any other 6 cylinder car off the mark and nowhere near as thirsty as my VX Commodore
We considered it, well I did. I've long accepted that diesel is a viable option but I've got the stereotypical male interest in car stuff. My wife has a good practical idea of what the car should have but not much interest in the technical stuff. As such she baulked at diesel, she did not realise cars could even have diesel engines and associated them with trucks etc. That was obstacle one and we cleared that after I told her they were more fuel efficient, very popular in Europe etc. The second obstacle was on the way to test drive the Cruze the first servo we passed had diesel priced about 15c a litre above ULP. The third is the dealer had no diesel equipped car for us to try out, they offered to get one in for us at a later date but explained that at their dealership they didn't keep one on the floor but arranged for them to be built on order. The final obstacle was that the standard Holden service price for the diesel option is about $40 > than the petrol variants, I'm not sure why because I would have thought it would be cheaper as you thought too. It may be because their ordinary mechanics are not diesel qualified and they have to bring someone in?
about what km's do you get out of a tank on that?? have alkways been curious as to head down the diesel car path but the cost of diesel always puts me off compared to what the increased economy would be
That's the issue for sure.

Mum was watching this the other day and I was walking by and caught the very end of it. I've seen bits and pieces of the other series but the thing I found surprising is none of them have died yet at 56 up, sure 56 isn't old but still.
I had the same thought.

Maybe statistically lucky, but the next episode could be interesting - particularly how the producers handle it, if it happens.

Most modern diesels give you under 5.0 l/100km. Most petrol variants are around 7.5-9.0

thanks macca, was thinking of buying a 4wd so was tossing up trying to find one on gas or go the diesel path

If you drive a lot of kms, especially at higher speeds then diesel is more economical than petrol so even adding in the higher cost of diesel it still would work out cheaper. My asx is petrol though and im getting about 7.0-7.2L/100km driving 1200km+ a week. Im saving about $140 a fortnight on my old v6 magna in petrol costs. On a diesel you should be able to get 1000km out of a 60L tank easy

* i know little about cars and could be dishing out false info unintentionaly

I was going to argue that the show (the 'Up Series') probably ceased to mention them when one of the 'children' left/died. For the most part it seems I was wrong. Per 'Up Series' all fourteen originals are still alive and despite a few opting in/out at times only one has left and stayed out (Charles left after 21 Up).

our last 6 cars we have bought from the government auctions, vt berlina, 2 magnas, 2 taragos and a camry, best deals in adelaide if you can risk not being able to take them for a test drive. the last few we bought via their online bidding system

You don't appear to care about your image too much MannumPower!:D

I think diesel is the way to go especially if you're looking to tow with it. The economy will be much better. The gas engine would run pretty hot under load and may have more problems in the long run as a result.

Great night in the Premier League footyhead07

Yes it was Roars, yes it was. I got up early to watch a replay of our game before the kid got up and was lucky enough to catch bacon face with a sad on at the end of their game.

Nice.

I was stumbling in to bed at the time you were waking up.

my image was well and truly shot before the tarago purchase, at least when you come and visit during preseason you'll know who i am when i rock up at the club with roo tarago

yeah the aunty was having her kitchen renovated and the renovator said it was up to her to do the floor as he wouldn't do it, so unwittingly she pulled it up herself, at christmas she had a nasty cough by august she had passed away. We have a family friend that removes asbestos for a living :( if only she had been advised correctly.

My wife & I couldn't have ripped up the crap that was there even if our lives depended on it. The ****ing concrete underneath was damn nearing trying to come up with the lino, it had been stuck down so bloody well. It took them 3 days to get it all up.

i have a car on gas and i love it. yes under load it's not the best but considering i drove to Melbourne and back (for that fateful day in September 2007) for $100 you can't beat that.

It's bad enough that you're swimming in money scrooge mcduck style and we're probably going to get relegated, but this byo linesman nonsense ruined the game for me.

There was a game on until that "handball" then our guys dropped their heads. Ugh.

Classic

Yeah both handballs weren't there and you were unlucky in that regard.

Still 5-0 is a pantsing.
