Slightly above yes

Wowee.

Keeping in mind that prior to the advent of the Gilchrist's revolutionary marriage of being elite with the bat and very good with the gloves, general consensus was that Healy was the greatest keeper ever. Superior to both Marsh and Knott - and while he was solid with the bat, it wasn't his willow that was earning the plaudits.

You're all tripping. Flipper was the best keeper ever.
Just ask him, he'll tell you.

He is a very funny man. He coached a rep side that I played for.
Yeah, friggin' hilarious - keeps us laughing with that stupid 80s mullett haircut. Makes him look like a real boofhead.

The best keeper in Australia wont get a go because the selectors wont give me a chance because of Gilly and Haddin and Paine and Wade and I'm a better keeper and better batsman than Gilly because I wasn't trying because I didn't know that batting mattered that much but if I did I would be better than Gilly and if I was allowed to bowl I would have been better than Warne and McGrath and I was a better skipper than Steve Waugh and Punter but I never got a go because I didn't really want to anyway.

Signed Ian "I'm not bitter much" Healy.

Healy was a 1994 Wisden Cricketer of the Year and was named the ACB's Keeper of the Century.

As I said, he was solid with the bat (27.39, 4c/22hc) but he didn't receive plaudits like that for anything but his glovework.

Healy was a better gloveman that Gilly. Sadly his stupid inane commentating has tarnished his reputation.

Yep. Healey handled Warne much better than Gilly.

Rod Marsh is better than both. He didn't have as many broken fingers as the other 2. That's a fair indicator of how they take the ball.

Marsh, Alan Knott, Bob Taylor and Syed Kirmani of India were better than Boucher, Gilchrist and Healey who are the top 3 by dismissals, IMO. They had to deal with wickets that broke up a lot earlier and kept lower than those of the last 20 years.

^^lozzle

Also I know I'm late in but saying Gilchrist was a better gloveman than Healy is like saying Tredrea has better hair than Justin Westhoff.. there's no denying who the better player was but let's answer the question people
